In 2018, Timmy had 36 receptions for 645 yards and seven touchdowns. He rushed for 359 yards, six touchdowns and had two kickoff returns for touchdowns.

“He is a great leader. He’s like a coach on the field . He is humble, kind and a pleasure to coach,” said head football coach Tyler Sechrist. “He came up with big plays for us all year long while playing with what was causing him pain in the back of his mind.”

Ward excelled on the defensive side. He had 84 total tackles, 52 of the solo, four tackles for loss and 11 interceptions. 

But, he underwent testing the week after the loss to Muncy in the District 4 Final and found out that he has stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. 

“I have no doubt that Timmy will defeat this just like he has some many opponents on the football field and wrestling mats. His competitive nature and motivation to return for his senior season will drive him to successfully beat cancer.”

His team finished 10-2.
