St Joes Prep def doesn’t deserve to be on here even though they might return to it at some point. They scheduled those teams & was gassed up on NFL network so they should have to produce without excuses. That being said, Roman came out to the Ches Mont & took 2 losses to neighborhood schools Coatesville & DTown East. While they are a solid team I don’t believe with 2 losses they should be included. Malvern loss to Roman at home & has 2 losses so they shouldn’t be there either. Too much love always shown to the catholic league who recruit most if not all of there roster with a budget to cover it. Lets not forget reclassifying for the extra 5th year as well. Some unfair advantages that most PA neighborhood schools don’t have. I wish they had there own playoffs like NJ and then we might be able to accurately rank PA high school teams. Franklin is 5-0 but Philly pub schools are depleted by the LaSalle’s, St Joe’s Prep, Wood, & Imhotep’s of the world. The Ches Mont is well represented on this list with Coatesville , Dtown East, Dtown West, WC Rustin, & WC Henderson I hope that shows in the rankings in the coming weeks.

@DaveMika, phillyKid is right Roman is the real deal they could easily be 5-0 vs very good teams. For them not to be in there is crazy, they blew out Malvern and would blowout CHA & Franklin( there Pub by the way)I just don’t understand why people only know about Prep & Lasallle & Wood, roman should be in the same sentance as them this year. I am a pub league guy an saw roman 2x, there very good. Just give the teams the recognition when they are good enough an not by hearsay

@ Dave …Look at who they are playing. I do agree they need to beat some of these national powers. Let’s see how they do against PA teams now.

  4. David Mika says:

At Philly Kid. I hear you. Now Malvern didn’t play this week. We’re keeping a eye on Roman. Thanks!

  5. PhillyKid says:

Who picks these rankings? Wow. Ben Franklin? Malvern? CHA? Roman Catholic should be in there that team is tough. Some people need to get a clue about HS football.

  6. Dave says:

How is it possible that a team which is 1 and 3 is ranked 10th ?
