2014 Team Preview: Shenandoah Valley (11)

Q. What are the key things we should know about your offense?

A. We are returning QB Ian McCole and 4 out of 5 staring linemen (Nick Gurski, Jeff Hollinger, CJ Grutza, Nick Krusinsky). On the offensive side of the ball, we will be young at the skill positions and have plenty of experience on the line.

Four players are currently battling for the right tackle position Chris Kline, Derek Dombrowski, JT Thomas and Grant Shadle.

The Tight End will be Jacob Storm who didn’t play football his junior season.

Four receivers are currently fighting for a starting role. They are: Sr. Riley Miller, So. Joel Santana, So. Noah Alegretta, and Fr. Mike Vinas.

The running backs will be So. Freddy Morales, So. Dustin Gelbutis, and Sr. Mike Huggins.

One of the positions with the most depth will be Fullback with Jr. Jeremy Urbanavage, Jr. Jorge Henriquez, and So. Gabe Whitecavage.

Q. What are the key things we should know about your defense?

A. We only return three starters from last year, Jeff Hollinger DT, Nick Krusinsky LB, and Nick Gurski LB.

Player performance during camp will be closely observed, with plenty of positions that still need to be filled.

Q. What are the key things we should know about your special teams? Who are your kick and punt returners? Who are your kicker and punter?

A. Three year starter Nick Krusinsky will be doing the place kicking and punting. Riley Miller, Noah Alegretta, Joel Santana, and Freddy Morales will be returning kicks.
