  1. @phillyboy, saying Imhotep would get creamed in AAA or AAAA is just as stupid as saying they’re the 3rd best team in the state. If you’ve actually seen them play (which jiveturkey has never done) you would realize they can hold their own in both AAA and AAAA. See Strath Haven for an example; they may have the best rushing backfield in the state. Until it plays out on the field, nobody really knows.

  2. Crestwood exposed by Dallas tonight in a 35-12 blow out up at Crestwood in District 2. Dallas will probably finish 7-3 and may eke out a playoff spot. Crestwood will beat Williamsport. I would not be at all surprised to see Coughlin also blow out Crestwood.

  3. JAck12, I measure a school and it’s players by their grades, schools ranking in the state…,where they are ranked as a team is fine, but in the real world, it means nothing. I had no idea who they were and googled their web site. Very distrubing. Is this school in the US in the year 2012? Nothing agaisnt the kids, something is not right here.

  4. @ littleguyscoach

I think Imhotep will make some noise in the playoffs, but you’re getting all crazy to say they are #3 in the state regardless of classification. Their schedule is cupcake city. They’ve beaten powerhouses Roxborough and University City among others. Once they get deeper in the playoffs they could get a reality check. They have a chance to win states at AA but they would get creamed at AAA or AAAA.

Downingtown East and Pennridge have the best chance to win district 1. Ridley has an undefeated record but they havn’t beaten anybody really strong nor have they dominated.

  5. @littleguyscoach,
Let me define upset for you. Team should win by alot, but the other team gets lucky. Somebody clueless would not predict an upset, they would say no doubt PC wins, or something like that. Do you know why they call them types of things upsets? I’m sure you do because you obviously are not “clueless”, but I’ll fill you in anyway. There was a big horse race a long time ago where the best horses ,far and wide, raced to see who was the best in the land. They needed to add a few horses for betting purposes, so they brought in some locals. Wow if one of them local horses win! I’m sure you know, but for those who don’t, that horse went by the name Upset. Hence the term upset.

  6. @Jimbo,
Congratulations! You can read a box score. I am obviously not in the same league as you when it comes to picking upsets. However, I’m really not sure what your infatuation with me is? I guess it’s cool that you follow me like a puppy dog, but I’m sure you have better things to do than sit and wait for me to make a post.

  7. @ Jack,
We should all thank Imhotep for giving the eastern side of the state some well needed recognition. LaSalle, Wood, and West, along with District 1 have failed to do that. Imhotep as a school and it’s values are terrible. Unfortunate but that is what is getting recognized.

  8. @fred why isn’t imhotep a real school? you don’t have a clue at all so save it. I wonder why this side of the state hates on each other so much we need to stick together. Imhotep is getting the East some well needed recognition, state wide and nationally. I’m tired of the imhotep hate.

  9. just wanted to say this time of year is great.you can see it in everyone’s faces.thanks for coordinating all the stats. h.s.footbal is #1!!!!

  10. Pennridge: 0 turnovers
    North Penn: 2 turnovers

    That essentially was the ballgame.

I just wanna see an SOL team in the eastern final, preferable against a D11 team.
That would certainly save the season.

  11. Kyle Bigam really stood out last night in the Pennridge, North Penn game. Not only did he haul in the game winning grab with one hand, he also had a pick and a long punt return to set up a score. Bigam really stepped up to take some of the load off of Mike Class

  12. jive turkey you r clueless Imhotep is a top 3 team in the state no mattter what classification!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. @ Jeff no that only 2 1/2 times better lol good luck to both teams hopeing they both come out of the game healthy

  14. Mark D, Scranton is 10 x better than VV.

    Scr 43 VV 17
    DV 49 VV 18

each match up has its own unique things about it.

Schor’s talent comes out on top and his line will give him the opportunity to make things happen.

  15. @ Jeff
Well we will find out tonight!Scranton is a much better team than Valley View, i think it going to be one heck of a game as i said before a turover usally decides these games.I hoping they meet again in the 2/4/11 playoff final

  16. Mark D, I think DV will do the same thing they did to VV and bang up Scranton this week:)Not to be obnoxious, but they are on a mission.

  17. @Ron i agree pluse Valley View is very beat up as of tuesday only had a freshman to play tail back !pluse Prep has own them,6 points scored by Valley View in 3 years !!!!
gets out coached very very badly

  18. @mark

I like prep over valley view.both are good teams but i think Prep’s passing and running game will keep VV off balance. I’ll take Wyoming Area over GAR by at least 2 touchdowns. Wyoming Area just a better team overall. Dallas will crush crestwood by at least 3 tds. Crestwood’s record is very deceiving.
