@ mgguy, i agree with what you said. I am an exeter grad, so I had the privilege of playing against wilson and wyomissing in different sports. definitely two top-notch football programs in their respective classes

  4. hentz says:

    Suburban One Fan;

We need your words of wisdom here, c’mon back!

  5. hentz says:

    @ Suburban One Fan:

We need you back! People are getting out of control here! They need to be taught some ” civil public discourse”! You can do it!

  6. mgguy says:

    Hey Dylan,

You’re not the only D3 guy here- I agree, the Wilson CV game was another classic in that series. They always seem to come down to the last play. Two heavy weights that gave another great game. The D3 AAAA final this week should be another good one if Wilson’s ready emotionally after the CV game. The Wyomissing/LC game was another game that stood out this week- that is turning into a nice series! Should be interesting next year when LC moves up to section one in the LL

@ Markd, check the main forum for my reply.

  8. markd says:

ok what is the silver bowl jinx ???????

  9. Josh Funk says:

    Rollie,

Dumb question….have both Dukes & Hudgins gone over 1,000 rushing yards this season for Pottsgrove? I would assume yes, but I haven’t seen any rushing stats for the Falcons since Week 7, when Dukes had 993 yards and Hudgins 771. If they indeed have, that would give Pottsgrove a pair of 1,000-yard rushers for 4 straight seasons.

  10. D4proud says:

Alright I’ll call Shamokin up and let them know that they don’t need to show up Friday.

  11. Dan says:

If Shamokin holds ACC to 50 points on Friday they should consider it a moral victory. Should be around 55-20. The reason I am not saying 56 is we usually miss 1 extral point each game. And listen Clearfield stinks! We played them up in Shamokin last year in the quarter finals and whipped em 55-20. Get used to hearing the PA announcer say Brendan Nosovitch’s pass is complete to Kevin Gulyas for the Central Catholic touchdown. You’ll hear it over and over again.

  12. Rollie Ciffo says:

Tory Hudgins of Pottsgrove rushed for 260 yards and 4 TDs in the District 1 Class AAA championship game.

  13. dylan says:

wilson from d3 stood out. beat top seeded and state ranked cumberland valley in a great battle. I seem to be the d3 rep of this website haha

  14. Bobbyd Miller says:

@ Brody, I’m a MCA fan and I’ll be at the Silver Bowl friday rooting Shamokin on. Ever hear of the Silver Bowl Jinx, sadly Bloomsburg found out about it. I wish Mr Rankin a speedy recovery and can make it back for the end of basketball season. Go Indians!!!!

  15. johnny mo says:

Shamokin is running head first towards a buzzsaw.. Good luck but I doubt you have a chance since central beat a team with a great d. Better bring your A game

  16. Brody Young says:

@ D4proud, thank you very much, someone sees where i am comming from, i dont care what anybody says, it feels great to still be playing

@ brian, yes baseball is the the .500 rule, but that doesnt mean anything, playoffs is a whole different atmosphere than the regular season, once players, especially seniors, realize whats at stake, possibly last game ever, thigns pick up a little bit, and milton shouldnt have been handed anything, they had an equal chance as shamokin to move on, but shamokin beat them, no doubt in my mind we should not be here

  17. D4proud says:

Shamokin made playoffs under the PIAA rules. They did just enough to make playoffs and had the same chance every other team had. Now they’re in the playoffs and are playing like they they shouldve been all year. It doesn’t matter what your record is when you get invitited to play week 11 it matters how you play when you get there. And yikes about running into ACC? ACC has one of the worst defenses of the AAA teams remaining. Of course their offense might be one of the best remaining. Go Shamokin and don’t listen to these doubters.

  18. brian says:

Brody, just be glad D4 AAA sucked to allow a 3-7 team qualify for playoffs. In my opinion, any team/district that doesn’t have a team 5-5 or better at the end of the regular season should not qualify for playoffs and in this case. In my opinion Milton should’ve been awarded the district title since they were the only team to reach the 5-5 record. Baseball does it that way. If you are below .500 you don’t make playoffs. Don’t get me wrong, I am all happy Shamokin won and all but in reality they shouldn’t have even qualified for districts. Unfortunately, they run into ACC. Yikes.

  19. hentz says:

    @ Brody:
Yea, but up until now, you weren’t. That’s why the lack of news coverage. You should be getting some now, especially if you win the next game.

  20. Brody Young says:

dont matter what our record is, were one of 8 teams remaining in AAA in the state of pennsylvania, were obviously doing something right

  21. hentz says:

NP defense the last 2 games is the best I seen them play all year. They have to continue that same aggresion against CRS. If they do, game SHOULD be their’s.

  22. bobby d414 says:

    @ Brody, with a 6 & 7 record, what do you expect?

  23. James Loney says:

Garnet Valley’s season ended last night, but it shouldn’t take away from the tremendous season they had all year long!!

  24. Brody Young says:

shamokin, i dont know why we dont get any write ups…. we shocked the whole state of pa last night and still nothing…

  25. D4proud says:

Shamokin’s win over Clearfield. More so their defense for holding Clearfield like they did. Should be a good one at the Silver Bowl Friday.

  26. brian says:

Matt Moore, 253 yds rushing and 2 TD’s of long runs to help SCA overcome a shootout against Old Forge. Oh, Tyler Levan only had 213 yds himself. SCA rushed for 477yds, passing for 58yds, totaling 535yds of offense. Old Forge had over 350 yds of total offense, with over 300yds passing. Preview of next weeks game between SCA/Pius?
