Written by: David Mika on Tuesday, August 31st, 2010The Explorers tied the school record for victories last season en route to claiming the Philadelphia Catholic League’s first PIAA football championship , but the blue and gold took a huge hit with graduation. Only two returning offensive and defensive linemen (Ryan Geiger and Cameron Cappo) return, and Villanova commit Jamal Abdur-Rahman (1,198 rush yards) and junior Tim Wade (633 yards) return to anchor the ground attack, which will be certainly be potent. Instead of 5,000-yard passer Drew Loughery manning the controls of LaSalle’s offense, Matt Magarity and Chris Kane are two quarterbacks vying for the job. Free safety/receiver Kevin Forster also is back for LaSalle, who is the two-time defending PCL AAAA champions.
