The following are the PIAA-established, multi-class, fall sports parameters for the 2012- 2013 and 2013-2014 school years. The revised number of high schools in each enrollment classification included voluntary upgrades.

    @ all you PCL fanatics:

What do the likes of St. Joe & LaSalle bring back next year?

    @ JB:

Thanks for the info. So the bottom half of the bracket for AAAA ( the one that contains D11 & D12), will still have a bye in the middle of the playoffs? Also, D3 ( the one that contains Central Dauphin) is not coming over to the East?

  3. JB says:

Buddy, the proposal that would have had D11 and D12 in the “west” bracket was not passed. There are no changes for next year.

michaels was a decent coach but never got his team to the next level and for keating, if it wasnt for politics he would have never gotten the job. hes a bum as a person and a coach. they should have hired curry’s first assistant coach that he hired when he got to wvw

  5. Rollie Ciffo says:

If Wyoming Valley West (District 2) ever wants to challenge for a state title, they’ve gotta find a way to get rid of the 27 least athletic boys they have so they can get down to AAA. They’re always pulling some shenanigans like firing a perfectly good coach (Ed Michaels) so they could hire George Curry to get them over the hump. Sorry to say that while Curry’s a brilliant coach, his health issues pushed him over the hill. Keating’s a fine coach too. Hopefully they don’t hose him.

Here’s hoping Ed Michaels applies for the recently open Dallas Mountaineers head coaching position…and that the Dallas School Board has the good sense to hire him.

    @ Dave Mika:

Rumor has it they have a new playoff scenerio ( at least in AAAA ) for next year. I heard that, for instance, LaSalle & North Penn could meet in the State final ( not the Eastern Final), also that NP & CD could meet in the Eastern Final, but not the State Final. They must of re-aligned Districts from West to East & visa-versa. Can you shed any light?

  7. James Loney says:

Surprised about Lower Merrion moving down a leval. I guess more students are expanding to Harriton.
