Cheating? What facts do you have to support that? I know a very good friend of the People’s family. They contacted Wood. In fact,People’s father asked to be an assistant coach but Wood already has their staff full. They contacted Wood because of certain things that were going on at the Prep both academically and athletically. If Wood is where he wanted to go, so be it. And if I am Devlin at Wood, I would be crazy not to take him.
What facts do you have to support that Cheltenham has a better academic record than Wood? Please share with the group. SJP-I’ll give you that, but Cheltenham or North Penn..Please!.. Also the kid is a stud and will be playing D1 no matter how many schools he has been to. Do you really think Pitt or PSU or Florida will turn their back on probably the best RB in 2012 class simply because he went to 3 High Schools. NP has 5x the # of students to choose from and they still choke every year. And Cheltenham? Who? Who is Cheltenham.

What do you know about their WR’s? Besides Thompson at TE I did not think they had a ton of speed at WR. I think McCairns is decent but not blazing speed. I also wonder how they will be at LB on defense. If you have any info please share. Should be a great season. If they get out of the East, Bishop McDevitt in the West will be very difficult. Good website is papreps.rivals and go to message boards .. Good High School info..

What school did Peoples transfer from?

  4. NP2008 says:

3 schools in 3 years? I have to wonder about the young man’s parents and whether or not they have their son’s best interest in regards to academics. SJP and Cheltenham I might add have a much better academic program than Wood. He could have easily reached the D1 level at either school. Is going to three schools in four years really gone to help this young man academically to prepare him for college? Anyone with any type of intelligence would say no, that moving to three different school is not conducive
    for a student.

  5. Woodman says:

Dog21, you could not be more right. They are young, talented and hungry. This kid will give them the home run hitter they needed. The QB is young but the future is very bright for him, the line is huge, strong and should give him time to throw to the best trio of receivers in the state this year. The 6’4 junior TE is the cherry on top for this offense and they made even have a few more surprises on that side of the ball.
On Defense, the addition of Coach Mike Carey as coordinator will pay limitless dividends. They will be big, strong, fast and aggressive on this side of the ball as well. It is early but they do look to be loaded and ready for a big season.

  6. Dog21 says:

Wow! This kid is a stud. Wood will be very good this year. The one thing they were missing was a game changer RB/CB and now they have it. Their OL will be one of the biggest in the state at any level, with two D1 OL prospects. Could be a huge year for the Vikings.
The scary thing is that most of their core players will only be Juniors this year.

  7. Pub coach says:

I also heard that judge’s quarterback Tony smith will be playing at George washington next year.

  8. tank says:

Woodman- correct, another coup. Ist McLauglin transfers from Avon Grove to Ohara. Now this. When will the PIAA get stones and enforce their transfer rules? Students may not transfer for athletic reasons. A coup is correct. Catholic schools need to be booted out of the PIAA so they can continue with their underhand recruiting policy. Are Preps academic standards not up to Woods??
This is cheating pure and simple.

  9. woodman says:

This is a major coup for the program and he should be a huge part of the puzzle in geting this team to where it needs to be this and next season!!!
