What Turkey day games are you going to? I will be at the 104th meeting between Easton Area and Phillipsburg.

  2. Cange30 says:

Thanksgiving games are a fabric of the S.E. Penna. I grew up watching, then participating at Interboro. Go BUCS!!

  3. Scip says:

Easton Red Rovers vs Phillipsburg stateliners best thanksgiving rivarly plus easton plays another opponent sat we never sit out. playoffs are 2nd to beating pburg

  4. Ghost Rider says:

I saw in the Philadelphia Inquirer that the Thanksgiving Day game between Abington and Cheltenham will be played at Abington 11/25/2010, at 10:00 am

  5. Colin says:

Before playofffs i think it was pretty big in a lot of areas. I grew up inphilly so its always been big with me. South jersey is also big on Thanksgiving. Playoffs put a big damper on turkey bowls. Many have fallen by the wayside. Personally i would like to see the piaa shorten the playoffs by a week and give this weekend an open date. I know teasm still in playoffs wouldnt want to chance getting someone hurt. But i’ll tell ya what there isnt anything quite like attending a thanksgiving day game when 2 heated rivals play.

  6. flippenphil says:

is this only a D1,11,12 (other words southeastern) tradition? i know pottsville hasnt done it in like 30 years. a few years back someone approached both pottsville and berwick about meeting, but neither team agreed to it. that would be a nice tid-bit.
