District 11 Talk Week 11 09

Allentown Central Catholic

The Vikings rushed for 237 yards as Central Catholic defeated Southern Lehigh 42-7 in a District 11 Class 3A football semifinal game at J. Birney Crum Stadium.

Ian Majczan rushed for 97 yards and three touchdowns. Brad Shaffer rushed for 80 yards and one score.

Brendan Nosovitch completed 4 of 7 passes for 130 yards. Nosovitch had a seven-yard run for a score.

Allentown Central Catholic plays Wilson Area.

East Stroudsburg South

Quarterback Robbie Moyer threw four touchdowns and ran for another one. The Cavaliers got two key turnovers as East Stroudsburg South won convincingly over the defending 4A state champs Liberty Hurricanes 49-21.

Moyer completed 12 of 22 passes for 192 yards. Dan Cason caught eight passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns. Moyer also rushed for 36 yards.

Collin Hegarty rushed for 48 yards on five carries and one score. He also had a fumble recovery that went 99-yards for a score.

East Stroudsburg South hosts Parkland.

Wilson Area

Tyler Smith led Wilson Area in a rout over Pottsville 44-19 in the District 11 Class AAA semifinal game at Smith field.

Smith threw for 194 yards and three touchdowns.

The Warriors defense forced six Crimson Tide turnovers (four fumbles and two interceptions).

Wilson Area plays Allentown Central Catholic.

North Schuylkill

North Schuylkill defeated Pen Argyl 22-8 in a District 11 Class AA playoff game.

Eddie Pavalko rushed for 92 yards on 14 carries and two touchdowns. Scott Houser rushed for 41 yards.

Quarterback Tom Ferrari completed 9 of 18 passes for 205 yards and one score.

North Schuylkill plays Panther Valley.
