District 3 Talk Week 7

Bishop McDevitt

Bishop McDevitt showed whey they are the top team in the state. The Crusaders scored on each of their first seven possessions and went on for the easy 47-7 win over Chambersburg.

Running back Jameel Poteat rushed for 161 yards and three touchdowns. Quarterback Matt Johnson completed 11 of 12 passes for 206 yards and four touchdowns.

McDevitt had 475 total yards of offense and 29 first downs. On defense they held Chambersburg to 134 yards.

Bishop McDevitt (7-0) travels to Carlisle.

Penn Manor

Penn Manor saw their lead disappear late in the third quarter, but two touchdowns in the fourth quarter gave Penn Manor a thrilling 28-18 win over Manheim Township.

LaRonn Lee 13-yard score with 11:48 left in the game gave his team the lead for good. Garrett Young scored the final score by returning a fumble 42-yards for a score.

Lee finished the game with 123 yards on 13 carries. He also caught four passes for 45 yards.

Penn Manor (6-1) hosts Warwick on Senior Night.

Greencastle-Antrim vs. Susquehanna Township

Monday game.

Manheim Central

Joe Gruber rushed for 138 yards and a touchdown to lead his team to a 36-0 win over Conestoga Valley. With the win Manheim Central take over sole possession of first place in the Lancaster-Lebanon Section Two league.

Quarterback Justin Gorman rushed for 133 yards and a score. Gorman finished the game by completing 7 of 15 passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns.

Manheim Central had 17 first downs and 392 total yards of offense. On defense they held Conestoga Valley to four first downs and 160 yards.

Manheim Central (7-0) travels to Elizabethtown Area.
