District 3 Talk Week 12

McDevitt wide receiver Salath Williams caught three touchdown passes as the Crusaders’ cruised to the 49-7 win over a Governor Mifflin in a District 3 4A quarterfinal game.
Quarterback Matt Johnson finished the game with 12 of 13 passes for 257 yards and three touchdowns.
Williams caught 5 passes for 143 yards. Jeremy Cornelius added 53 yards.
Running back Jameel Poteat led the way with 91 yards and one score.
Bishop McDevitt (11-0) vs. Penn Manor (10-2)
West York
West York tops Conestoga Valley 35-34 in a District 3 quarterfinal Class 3A game in double over time.
Alex George two-point conversion gave the Bulldogs the thrilling win.
George completed 11 of 18 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns. He rushed for 70 yards on 13 carries and one score. Corey Harris added 52 yards and two scores.
West York (11-1) plays Susquehanna Township (11-1)
Lancaster Catholic
Lancaster Catholic scored six times on its first seven possessions. They went on for the 48-14 win over Middletown Area in the PIAA District 3 2A semifinal game.
Quarterback Kyle Smith completed 16 of 19 passes for 220 yards and four touchdowns.
Kevin Cotchen caught five passes for 66 yards and two scores. Jordan Stewart added 61 yards rushing and one score.
Note: Kyle Smith is just 87 yards shy of breaking former Downingtown East quarterback Pat Devlin’s passing record of 8,109 yards. Smith has 8,022 yards passing.
Lancaster Catholic (11-1) vs. Delone Catholic (11-1)
Upper Dauphin
Upper Dauphin defeated York Catholic 26-14 in a PIAA District 3 Class A semifinal game.
Cody Cooper rushed for 138 yards on 18 carries and two touchdowns.
Quarterback Tyler Koppenhaver completed 8 of 12 passes for 142 yards and a score.
