Nazareth Area: Dan Harding threw for over 390 yards and four touchdowns, including a 31-yard touchdown pass to Adam Bridegeforth with 38 seconds remaining. His two-point conversion to Dan Shepherd gave the Blue Eagles a thrilling 42-41 win over Bethlehem Liberty.

Quarterback Skyler Mornhinweg of St. Joseph’s Prep: Mornhinweg passed for 232 yards and four touchdowns. He rushed for 154 yards and two scores. He also had a 54- yard fumble recovery for a score. His team defeated North Penn, 51-33.

Lakeland: In a rematch from last year’s District 2 Class AA championship game, Lakeland rushed for over 400 yards in a 34-31 win over Wilkes-Barre GAR. Led by Ryan Nichols 233 yards and three touchdowns. Tyler Brady added 155 yards and one score.

 

EasternPAFootball.com “Small School Player of the Week”

Quarterback Brett Smith of Delone Catholic: Smith passed for 210 yards and five touchdowns in a 40-21 win over Littlestown. His favorite target was Cooper Ayres who caught four passes (all for touchdowns) for 97 yards. Delone Catholic moves to 3-0 and 2-0 in their league.
