Bethlehem Liberty

The toughest year is over for Anthony Gonzalez, who enters his second year as the starting quarterback for the Hurricanes.  The lefty threw for over 1,000 yards and 14 touchdowns a season ago, and guided Liberty to the 2/4/11 “AAAA” semifinals, where the Canes fell in a heartbreaker to an out-of-this-world Hazleton Cougar team.  Boasting a 47-8 (.854) record the past four seasons, Liberty cracked the USA-Today top-25 national rankings for the first time last season, becoming the first eastern Pennsylvania team to crack the national Top-25 since Bishop McDevitt was #6 three years ago.

this is a shocker pick i think, i went to liberty and graduated in 07, and this is a shocker i think, they are decent looking this year, but i think parkland and north penn should be ahead of them.

they just may. they are def a strong team again this year. But you can’t say Liberty shouldn’t be where they are. They will be very good. Good luck to both teams and maybe we will see a rematch in the playoffs.

I have nothing to do with this site, but I would hardly call being preseason #2 “getting looked over again”. Being #1 by ONE WEBSITE on Aug. 26th is not where championships are won. Good luck this season!

unless hazletons #1 which i doubt they are its a crying shame. tons of kids back. in my opinion and the opinion of many others better than last year. beat north penn in a scrim this year. has two d-1 recurits. and they get looked over again. thought people would learn after they came w/in 2 points of beating the big three in D-11. well i guess hazleton will just have to prove it on the field once again.
