York Catholic’s Brett Moore earns spot on Chesapeake Bowl

Kicker Brett Moore (6-0/215, York, PA, York Catholic) attended the Chesapeake Bowl Evaluation and Training Camp with a purpose. He travelled several hours to the camp despite being on vacation. His effort paid off as he earned a spot as the North Team kicker for the Chesapeake Bowl.

The current North roster has 31 players from PA listed.

The Chesapeake Bowl will pit the North Team vs. the South Team. The North Team is represented by players selected from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware and the South Team is comprised of players from Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and West Virginia.

Moore’s 2010 Stats thru 4 games:

  • 3 FGs (out of 4) – 40 yard, 26 and 22

  • Second longest FG, 44 yards, in a game in PA last year (Keystone Club 2009)
  • Named top kicker at Matt Stover’s kicking camp July 2010
  • Finished 2nd in FG Competition at University of Pitt’s camp, top 7 in Kick Offs – July 2010
  • Finished 22nd out of 150 top seniors in the nation in FG competition at Kohl’s 3 day National Scholarship Camp  – July 2010
  • Rated 4.5 stars out of 5.0 on Kohlskicking.com, #2 ranked kicker in PA, 85th in Nation
  • Invited by Special teams coaches to attend the following kicking camps this year:  LSU, Alabama, Towson, Pitt and Lafayette.  And invited to attend Kohls National Scholarship Camp in WI – top kickers in the Nation, invite only.
