Head Coach Mark Watson Q&A

Q. What are the key things we should know about your offense?

We have to replace 1200+ yard rusher Jovon Marshall and we have to overcome some issues on the Offensive line.

We lost two offensive starters for this year’s team, which we did not anticipate. Our quarterback and both wide receivers are back and we feel they will have a very good year.

Three-year starter Billy Rotella is back on the line and is bigger and stronger than last year.

Q. What are the key things we should know about your defense?

We feel we should have one of the best linebacker groups in the area, three starters return and they are bigger and stronger than last year.

We will have some issues on the defensive line. We lost one starter as the result of sickness.

We do think our defense will be very athletic and should be tough against the run and pass.

Q. What are the key things we should know about your special teams? Who are your kick and punt returners? Who are your kicker and punter?

We return Punter John Steffen who averaged over 34 yards per punt last year.

We also return our kicker Matt Vosburg who has worked very hard this off-season to increase his leg strength and we feel he will be a very big asset to our offense.

We have a few different kids that could return kicks and punts.
