2013 Big School Defensive Player of the Year: John Reid, St. Joseph’s Prep

John Reid, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound junior corner back seemed to play all over the field. At running back he rushed for 126 yards and three touchdowns. He was the top receiver on the team with 41 catches for 698 yards and eight touchdowns.

On defense he had four interceptions while playing at safety and cornerback.

Reid will be one of the top recruits out of Pennsylvania next year. He has multiple offers from schools like Alabama, Penn State, Georgia and LSU.

In the state finals against Central Catholic he caught three passes for 73-yards including a spectacular 59-yard touchdown catch.
