Coaches Q&A with Gabe Infante:

Q. What are his strengths on Offense?

A. His sophomore year he started at right tackle and last year he was the only returning lineman. We had to ask him to anchor the line. We graduated four of the five kids. We wanted him to be the leader and he did a great job last year with the other four guys.

The credit on how the line played all season goes to Jon. He stepped up and got the job done.

He’s technically one of the best I have ever seen at this age. He’s very athletic and probably can play tight end for us. He’s one of the strongest kids on the team and has great feet.

Q. What are his strengths on defense?

A. He has great instincts and is very strong. He’s tough to block and makes plays.

You can see what he did in the championship game. We asked him to play another position in that game and he did a tremendous job.
