Wyoming Area rising senior Luke Kopetchny has announced his commitment on social media to Brown University.
The 6-foot-3 wide receiver has emerged as one of District 2’s premier playmakers after a breakout junior season in which he established himself as a major offensive weapon. Kopetchny earned All-State recognition in 2024 while leading District 2 in receiving yards and touchdown receptions that year, showcasing his combination of size, speed, and reliable hands.
He also set a District 2/Wyoming Valley Conference record with a 262-yard receiving performance in a single game.
A standout student as well as an athlete, Kopetchny carries a 3.9 GPA, making Brown University—a member of the Ivy League—a natural fit for his academic and athletic aspirations.
In addition to football, Kopetchny is a multi-sport athlete who has earned All-State honors in basketball and also competes in track and field, highlighting his versatility and athleticism.
“He is a premier three-sport athlete who also dominates in Football, Basketball and Track & Field.” said Head Coach Randy Spencer.
