Offensive Player of the Week:
-James Welde (O’Hara – Sr. – QB)
Welde set a single-game passing record with 324 yards in the Lions’, 42-14, win over Judge. Welde accumulated 260 of those yards in the opening half. He finished 13-for-21 with four passing scores.
Offensive Honor Roll:
-Khyan Billups (SJ Prep – Sr. – RB)- Pounded his way to 204 yards on 39 grueling lugs. Totaled three scores in the game with one coming on a reception.
-Yeboa Cobbold (Lansdale Cath. – Sr. – QB)- Rushed 15 times for 134 yards and a pair scores and passed for another 99 yards and one more TD.
-Fode Wilks (O’Hara – Sr. – WR)- Caught five passes for 113 yards and two TDs.
-Ahzir Nelson (LaSalle – Jr. – RB)- Turned just six carries into 51 yards and 3 TDs.
-A’mar Woodson (Neum.-Gor – Jr. – RB)- Had a pair of rushing TDs covering 47 and 48 yards, while netting 108 yards on ten rushes.
-Mehki Stallings (Arch. Ryan – Sr. – RB)- Rushed 13 times for 129 yards, including a decisive 66-yard TD.
-Dave Spinelli (Arch. Ryan – Sr. – QB)- Orchestrated 193 yards of rushing/passing with three total scores.
Defensive Player of the Week:
Braeden Smith (Lansdale Cath. – sr. LB)
The Crusader defensive leader notched 13 tackles (1 TFL) in an important and exciting overtime win over Archbishop Wood.
Defensive Honor Roll:
-John Boggs (SJ Prep – Jr. – LB)- Registered 10 tackles, including a pair of sacks and a blocked punt.
-Anthony Sciulli (SJ Prep – Sr. – DL)- Had 2.5 sacks amongst his four stops for the Hawks.
-Jemel Williams (LaSalle – Sr. – DL)- Was a force with 6 tackles in LaSalle’s shutout win.
-Elijah Deburrow (Neum.-Gor. – Soph. – LB)- Paced the Saints with ten tackles; including two TFLs and a pass defend.
-Gavin Kpan (Arch. Ryan – Jr. – DE)- Was a fixture in Carroll’s backfield with 7 tackles, including 3.5 sacks that amassed 31 yards in losses.
Special Teams Player of the Week:
-Owen Johnson (LaSalle – Soph. – PR)
Johnson provided a 71-yard punt return for a touchdown in the Explorers’, 42-0, pasting of Bonner-Prendie. Offensively, he added a fistful of receptions for 51 yards.
Multi-Purpose Player of the Week:
-Asher Thickening (Lansdale Cath. – Sr. – WR/DB/KR)
The reliable Thickening performed in all three phases for the Crusaders in their pivotal win over Wood. Offensively, he made 3 catches for 32 yards. In the return game, he had four kickoffs for 96 yards. Defensively, he notched five tackles and plucked an interception.
Spectacular in Defeat:
-Semaj Beals (Roman Catholic – Sr. – QB)
Beals was sensational in the Cahillites’ narrow, 40-39, defeat to St. Joe’s Prep in double-overtime. All totaled, Beals found himself involved in 58 offensive snaps for Roman. He passed 24-for-40 for 332 yards and 5 TDs. He also rushed 18 times for 45 yards and another score.
