Each week the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the National Football Foundation selects a high school football player from the 34 local schools in our chapter as a Player of the Week. Players listed below will be our guest at the 66th Annual Scholar Athlete Banquet on March 1, 2026. Head coaches and media are encouraged to nominate players who they feel worthy of Player of the week consideration to the LFFLVC at nfflvchapter@gmail.com by Monday 5:00 pm each week.
Week 10: Antonio Fontanez Quarterback Liberty. Passing 22-32 382 yards 4 touchdowns. Rushed for 1 touchdown. Team had 508 yards of total offense. Liberty beat Freedom 42-14. Nominated by Coach Shawn Diagnault
Week 9: TJ Lawrence Running Back Parkland. Rushed for 137 yards and scored 4 touchdowns. Team beat Whitehall 53-7. Nominated by Coach Mike Facchiano
Week 8: Yaseen Mirza Running Back Executive Education Academy rushed for 265 yards on 29 carries and scored 4 touchdowns. Team beat School of the Future 42-32.Nominated by Coach Kyle Haas.
Honorable Mention: Christian Stiehler, Pocono Mountain West and Blake Nassry, Parkland and Michael Garey, Palmerton.
Week 7: Shane Leh Quarterback Northwestern completed 14 for 19 passing. 285 yards 5 touchdowns. Team beat Pottsville 42-0.
Honorable Mention: Garrett Smoyer Northern Lehigh.
Week 6: Cole Ordway Quarterback Easton threw for 232 yards and 5 touchdowns. School records broken in career passing yards and career touchdown passes. Team beat Stroudsburg 62-0.
Honorable Mention: Thomas Cahill, Saucon Valley and Vincent Taglieri, Palmerton Area.
Week 5: Sean Steckert Running Back Southern Lehigh. Rushed for 263 yards on 24 carries scored 4 touchdowns. Team beat Pottsville 35-17.
Honorable Mention: Garrett Smoyer Northern Lehigh and Yaseen Mirza Executive Education.
Week 4: Peyton Falzone Quarterback Nazareth. Rushed 3 times for 42 yards and a touchdown. Had 14 completions in 27 passing attempts for 327 yards and two touchdowns. All in the first half. Did not play in second half due to injury. Team beat Freedom 56-21.
Honorable Mention: Josh Louk, Jim Thorpe
Week 3: Lashawn Johnson Running Back Freedom rushed for 210 yards and 3 touchdowns. Also returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown. Four touchdowns total. Team beat Allentown Central Catholic 38-27.

Northern Lehigh, Jake Pukszyn Liberty, Dillon Anthony-Palmerton
Week 2: Cayden Vassa Quarterback Bethlehem Catholic, rushed for 250 yards and scored 4 touchdowns also threw a touchdown pass. His team beat Emmaus 35-14.
Honorable Mention: Peyton Falzone-Nazareth, Max Woerner-Palisades
Week 1: Braden Rohn Quarterback Saucon Valley High School, accounted for 329 total yards and 4 touchdowns in the Panthers 42-21 victory over Bangor. Braden rushed for 168 yards and scored 3 touchdowns. He also passed for 161 yards and threw a touchdown pass.
