Coaches Q&A with Dave Gueriera:

Q. What kind of leader is he?

A. First off, he is the best kid you would ever want to meet. He has the whole package. He commands their respect by just his talent. He is a type of kid that treats others how they want to be treated. That’s him. It doesn’t matter if it’s the last kid on the bench or the best kid on the team, he’s the same with them.

Q. Talk about his strengths at Quarterback?

A. He throws a really nice ball and is accurate. He is the complete package. He makes all the throws and has great feet. He’s really quick.

He threw for over 2,600 yards and ran for 800. A lot of his runs were on scrambles. He makes plays and looks to pass first and then run.

Q. How is he as a runner?

A. His ability to make something out of nothing. I watched every game film a hundred times. I think his ability to make something out of nothing is what sets him apart from other skill players in high school.

Q. Talk about him playing some defense for you this year?

A. When he plays corner this year, he will be a lock down corner back for us.

Schools of Interest: Patriot and Ivy League schools and Richmond.
