District 2 Talk Week 7

Dallas

Dallas was up 28-7 at halftime and hung on for the 34-27 win over Crestwood. Quarterback Adam Goeringer scored with 1:24 left in the game for the winning score.

Goeringer completed 6 of 12 passes for 124 yards. Paul Brace rushed for 78 yards on 12 carries and one touchdown. He also had a 17-yard interception return for a score.

Dallas (7-0) hosts Pocono Mountain East.

Wallenpaupack

Running back Joe DeFebo six-yard touchdown run gave Wallenpaupack a 29-26 win over Western Wayne.

Wallenpaupack rushed for 293 yards on the ground. DeFebo led the way with 180 yards on 30 carries and two touchdowns. Taylor Newcomer rushed for 113 yards on 8 carries and two scores. Newcomer had a 65-yard run.

Wallenpaupack (5-2) hosts Honesdale.

North Pocono

North Pocono used a power running game for the win over Scranton 49-8.

North Pocono rushed for 272 yards on the ground and finished the game with 315 total yards.

Nick Batzel rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns. Batzel also caught a touchdown pass from Matt Smith. Nick Reuther rushed for 58 yards and three scores.

North Pocono (6-1) hosts Montrose Area.

Dunmore

Dunmore hung on in overtime. Running back Michael Perry scored on a 10-yard run that gave the unbeaten Bucks a 21-14 win.

Scranton Prep had one more chance to tie the game up in overtime, but Perry intercepted the ball to stop Scranton Prep.

Dunmore (7-0) hosts Valley View.
