What an absolutely fantastic article. I can tell there had to be a lot of research done to put this together. I’m from out in the western part of PA but I can remember hearing about this season with those two kids drowning. I never knew that Southern set those kinds of records…CRAZY!!!

This was an incredible read. I remember this all very vividly; I was a sophomore at Selinsgrove High School and walked the half-mile from my house to the stadium to watch the SCA-Pius X game. I never knew until now that Pius X had been ranked #2 in the state. Knowing that doesn’t make SCA’s performance seem more impressive, but that’s only because it would be impossible for me to be more impressed by what I saw that night nearly 10 years ago. Kyle Connaghan says that was the most memorable game he’d ever played in. Well, other than when my brother’s team won the State Championship in 2009, the SCA-St. Pius X was the most memorable football game I’d ever witnessed.
