Yaacov Yisrael named Shamokin head coach

SHAMOKIN – According to Athletic Director Richard Kashner Monday night, the school board approved the hiring of new head football coach Yaacov Yisrael, he suceeds Dan Foor.
Yisrael, a former Penn State defensive back from 2000-03 was the head football coach at Halifax the past two years. In two seasons at Halifax his team went 4-6 both years.
He takes over a team that finished 2-9 in 2012.
