Williams Valley dynamic duo geared up for senior season

s.sedesseWilliams Valley seniors Stephen Sedesse and Cole Barnhardt have a different gear than most athletes. The two have made a habit of leaving opposing defenses in the dust. The duo helped their team to a 12-1 record in 2012. Both players were at the FASST Brader/Persa Offensive Skills Camp over the weekend.

Quarterback Stephen Sedesse has completed 105 of 195 passes for 1,841 yards and 25 touchdowns. He rushed for one touchdown. His best game was against Pine Grove when he completed 8 of 13 passes for 233 yards and four touchdowns.

“I am working hard during the off-season on my foot work, said Sedesse. “Dan Persa showed me a lot today.”

Running back Cole Barnhardt is set to shred defenses this season. He rushed for 1,680 yards on 220 carries and 22 touchdowns last season and he caught 15 passes for 146 yards and one score. His best rushing gamec.barnhardt last season was week one. He rushed for 283 yards on 17 carries and five touchdowns.

“I am working on better foot work and technique during the off-season,” said Barnhardt. “I am working on blocking too.”

The duo is hoping for another big season. “Our goal is to go undefeated and have home field advantage in the playoffs,” said Sedesse.

In 2012 Williams Valley were District 11 Class A champions. “Our goal is to go back-to-back District champions and go further in the state playoffs,” said Barnhardt.
