  1. flippenphil says:

Pottsville was impressive in week 7, after starting the season 1-5, losing to teams like Wyomissing and Conrad Weiser early in the season by 1 TD, they were able to walk away with a win against the previously unbeaten team, Exeter.
Pottsville won this game 28-26. Knowing that Wyommissing averages 49.1 points per game, the week one 28-21 game (esp after being down 21-0 within the first quarter) was a good showing by the pottsville young team) IF we pick up 3 wins to tack onto this season with 3 less than desirable opponents, Pottsville might be looking at a likely 4th slot in D11 playoffs, to challenge that “Dominant” Bangor team in week 11.

    @ larry:

If pennridge plays like they have recently, they could beat CB south in a close game. biggest drawback for pennridge is it is at CB south. Their ( pennridge) defense is very good. Got to contain the QB for South, that’s the key. I don’t take much stock in this, but they had a mutual opponent in CR South, both teams lost, but Pennridge played them really tight. South did not. Big question mark is if Pennridge can score on them.

  3. Larry says:

    @ Buddy

I would be interested in hearing why you think Pennridge should be CB South?

  4. Buddy says:

    @ bryan:

Should beat CB South, highly doubtful against NP.

  5. Epler says:

CD Rams defense hands down, nothing else in the commonwealth compares.

  6. KEVIN says:

    Coatesville Defense!!

  7. bryan murphy says:

I think Pennridge deserves some attention. after an 0-3 start, they have gone 4-0, including 3-0 in league play. The turnaround has been lead by sophmore running back Mikey Class who has been putting up outrageous numbers. Lets see how they fair against confrence powers North Penn and CB south in a few weeks.

  8. ron says:

crestwood upseting dallas 7-6 has to be the biggest surprise in district 2 so far this season. dallas defeated wvw 28-27 last week. valley view appears the team to beat in aaa.

  9. Rusky says:

    The Central Dauphin Defense

CDs defense allowed -16 yards rushing and -32 total Offense against Commonwealth rival Harrisburg. CD forced 3 turnovers, 1 INT and 2 Fumbles. Both fumbles were returned for touchdowns. CD tallied 11 Tackles for loss, 6 of which were sacks to lead the rams to a 35 – 7 victory. The Rams currently have 47 sacks on the season and are +11 in the turnover margin. They are giving up a stingy 40.1 rushing yard per game.

  10. David Mika says:

Parkland’s Rob Dvoracek rushed for 373 yards on 35 carries and six touchdowns and Jarel Elder rushed for 122 yards on 10 carries and two scores.

Maybe the best duo in the state:

QB Brandon Nosovitch completed 25 of 38 for 413 yards and two touchdowns. He rushed for 110 yards and three scores.

WR Kevin Gulyas caught 15 passes for 277 yards and two scores

  11. Rciffo says:

Dist 2 Lake-Lehman’s Soph 235 Fullback Dustin Jones with 16 carries for 167 yards and 2 TDs against Wilkes-Barre GAR. GAR overlooked them as I think Lake-Lehman actually outgained them. GAR needed 2 Pick-6’s to win. Also, Joe Parsnik of Wilkes-Barre Coughlin with 294 yards and 3 TDs against Pittston Area. The kid is going to make some Division 2 school very happy…a fine all around athlete. Great offensive and defensive player and a heckuva a wrestler and baseball player too!

  12. C says:

Rob Dvoracek (Parkland HS). 387 yards rushing and 6 TD’s. about 20 yards short of the 4A state record set by the best running back to ever run in PA, Austin Scott (Parkland HS 2002).

  13. HSfootball freak says:

Lasalle explorers offense , O line is punishing their opponenets . The backs are running over their opponenets . Tim Wade is keeping the chains moving and putting it in the end zone . They’re getting better every week .

  14. kevin bonk says:

Chris Bonk OL/DL “Blue Devil” against Panther Valley 6 tackles and 4 assist’s

  15. Andy Spitei says:

La Salle’s offensive line and RB Tim Wade. Tim had 235 yds rushing and 3 TDs and the team had 395 yds rushing overall. Kudos to LT Dan Wasylenko, LG Pat Hoffman, C Connor Kerrigan, RG Tom Spiteri, and RT Matt Maginnis

  16. Suburban Fan says:

    ABINGTON 20 – PENNSBURY 7

  17. Dan says:

Bangor @ Palmerton. Bangor dominated this game, 53-7. What is good about Bangor is the how they are team. Of course it helps when your line offense or defense is so big and fast. Bangor are 7-0 watch out for the remainder of the season.
In this case it is the team that stands out

  18. Brandon Barber says:

The mifflinburg defense. Held another opponent scoreless. 3 of their 7 wins are shutouts.

  19. Larry Veal says:

Chris Veal, WR for Central Buck South. 9 catches for 267 yards and 2 TDs.

  20. LSPioneers says:

Lampeter Strasburg-Garden Spot 3 lead changes in the last minute of the game! LS 23 GS 21 – Incredible games played by 2 great teams!

  21. James Loney says:

Glen Mills is better than their record…Shows how weak the Del Val League is compared to other conferences

  22. Doug Boas says:

Blaise Glover for McCaskey 3 Rec. 138yrds 1TD

And Diante Cherry’s INT for a TD, video is below.
