  1. O L Coach says:

@Mike, what a shame you’re such an angry person. My post said nothing about other schools, other districts; nothing derogatory at all.

Your reply is comical to say the least and shows how little you know about hs ball.

Two words for you Mike: anger management.

  2. O L Coach says:

@Jack, your original post was based on inaccurate presumptions; sorry I pointed them out to you.

The fact is you have a real inferiority complex and a great deal of D12 envy that’s why you’re on here bashing other districts, other schools that you really know nothing about.

Read my post again; nothing derogatory about another district, another school; just a reply to you about your post.

  3. JiveTurkey9 says:

Does D12 playing thanksgiving games really bother you folks that much? I wonder if you guys are just setting up your excuse for what you must assume is inevitable. Watch the games, root for your kids, and usually the best team wins. If your team turns the ball over 6 times, it is not because D12 had what you guys are calling a bye week. Don’t you think your kids would be pretty embarassed that you guys are looking for excuses as to why they can’t win? Be proud and cheer them on, they will remember that forever!

  4. Effe Soho says:

Mike…..wow. You love to whine. What are you, like 2 years old?
    Waaaaa!
    Waaaaaaaaa!

  5. Jack says:

@O L Coach if your a coach post your real name and what school you coach at, I am sure your HC would love you spouting off on a message board. Your right nobody forces Easton play on thanksgiving they choose to. So let District 12 choose to play or not play on thanksgiving. If they choose to that is there prerogative, but they will play that weekend. It’s funny district 12 has only won 3 state titles collectively, am I right lasalle, wood, and west each have one. So why do you district 12 people feel like we should bow down? District 11 has beaten District 12 in 3A and in 4A since the PCL has joined and won state titles in both classes. District 1 has beaten District 12 in 4A. District 4 has beaten District 12 in 3A and won a state title. District 3 has beaten District 12 in 2A and won a state title, District 7 has smacked District 12 around as well in different classes. so it’s not like the boogie man is here and all other district should run away from the mighty all-star teams that the PCL creates. Go back to coaching your sons flag team and stop with your non-sense.

  6. Mike says:

@O L Coach well if Easton or Pennridge choose to play on that day than District 12 can shoose to play on that day as well or choose not to. What kind of Coach posts on a web site? ATTENTION Districts 7, 11, 1, 2, and 4. Even thogh you have won state titles and all but district 2 have beaten District 12 in the playoffs. STOP playing footaball, the PCL is here now and they are the only thing that matters! We don’t even need to play football anymore only 2 games Lasalle vs Prep for the 4A title and Imhoptep vs West Catholic for the 2A title. Wood by virtue of everyone else 3A in the PCL being terrible you automatically win the 3A title! Look at the PCL teams schedule it is a real meat grinder playing Judge and Ryan! Noting like us in District 7 play, we must play terrible football in the WPIAL.

  7. Mill says:

It seems like it is more the Public League that plays on Thanksgiving. But the ” BYE ” week only occurs in AA & AAAA, so why can’t that be fixed? The only team I believe is playing 3 games in 8 days this year is Pennridge in AAAA.

  8. O L Coach says:

@Jack, roughly 75% of D12 schools do play Thanksgiving games; LS, WC and AW happen to be in the group that don’t. I’d love to see how many districts approach 75%.

When D12 joined the PIAA, your inference is they surely knew what teams would be strong many years in advance. They must have known that LS, WC and AW would be playoff teams. They must have known Imhotep would be a playoff team; oops, there was no Imhotep. Do you realize how juvenile that inference sounds?

Nobody forces Easton to play on Thanksgiving; they choose to play. It’s a nice way to end their season.

  9. Jack says:

@PCLFan Why is it a problem? You get a bye to the PIAA quartefinal round, you don’t think that is a problem. Easton over in District 11 plays on Thanksgiving every year egardless. Lasalle does not play on thanksgiving, Wood does not play on thanksgiving, West Catholic does not play on thanksgiving? Hmmmm who have the D12 reps been since they have been in the PIAA playoffs? 3 teams who do not play on thanksgiving…. It is not that the PCL is good it is that the PCL people are so arrogant!!!

  10. PCLFsn says:

Mill D12 sets up their playoffs that way so they can play Thanksgiving games. Any District can do it. Why is this a PIAA problem?

  11. O L Coach says:

@Pam, grow up, nobody needs to be yelled at in CAPS!

  12. Mill says:

A serious question here…is the PIAA ever going to fix the state playoffs in the East? Meaning why does District 12 always essentially have a bye week before playing the District 2/4/11 winner? I notice that it is the same in AA as well.

  13. Pam HOward says:

You have an error in your information for Central Dauphin, Harrisburg DID NOT win in OT, CENTRAL DAUPHIN WON IN OT against Harrisburg in Week #7!!!
