This District One and Twelve area was treated to a powerful Hurricane this week and the trick now is to recover in time for the final weekend of the regular season. The horrible destruction, loss of life and property may make this seem trivial but getting back to normal is the fastest way to recovery.

There are several games this weekend that will have great impact on the eventual playoff picture. These include Spring-Ford @ Perkiomen Valley, Haverford @ Garnet Valley, Academy Park @ Interboro, Pennsbury @ Neshaminy and North Penn @ Souderton to name a few.

Week nine predictions went well as this future teller went 4-1. Pottsgrove, Neshaminy, Haverford and Coatesville won as predicted while Springfield lost to Strath Haven as the Panthers tallied a field goal as time ran out for a 16-14 win. This accounted for the only failed prediction last week.

The last six years the prognostication record stands at 297-115 while going 30-10 for the 2012 season.

This tenth week of the season offers another great set of games for local fans to check out.

One of these games will feature the Del-Val League Championship showdown between Academy Park and Interboro. The Bucs will be ready under the steady hand of Coach Steve Lennox and the leadership of QB Nick Rentos. Interboro enters title game with an impressive 8-1 record and a 38-0 win over Chester last Friday. The Bucs had success by ground and air with 156 rushing yards and 87 passing yards against the Clippers. The Academy Park Knights will be no pushover. Their 8-1 run this season includes a hard fought 28-27 win over Glen Mills last Friday. QB Tyler Street and running back Jerry Lanier helped the Knights overcome a slow start to squeak out the victory. Count on Interboro to find a way to win this contest on their home field.

Interboro  34  Academy Park  28

The rest of this week’s fearless forecast:

Spring-Ford  24  Perkiomen Valley  14

Pennsbury  27  Neshaminy  13

Haverford  31  Garnet Valley  27

North Penn  24  Souderton  20
