PCN AND PIAA REACH FOUR-YEAR AGREEMENT

The Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) and the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) have renewed their agreement for a four-year term. Thanks to the signing, viewers in more than 3 million homes across the state will once again be able to watch the PIAA high school championships exclusively on PCN.

Under the agreement, PCN will offer extensive championship coverage of various sports throughout the fall, winter and spring seasons.  The first set of championships will air this coming November with cross country, girls’ volleyball, field hockey and soccer.  The fall season will conclude with the state football finals in December.

Throughout the remainder of the scholastic year, PCN will provide statewide championship coverage of team and individual wrestling, swimming and diving, basketball, track and field, boys’ volleyball, girls’ spring soccer, baseball, softball and lacrosse.

“PCN is pleased to once again work in partnership with the PIAA to bring the athletic achievements of these high school students before a statewide audience,” said PCN President and CEO Brian Lockman.
