NTL Week 3 Recap and Predictions

Written by: on Tuesday, September 20th, 2011. Follow Jordan Clark on Twitter.

I had an okay week last week going 5-2 overall and 6-1 versus my own spread. The only game I seemed to misjudge was Athens vs Troy. Troy is the one team who can be good one week, and then the next not look very tough. Athens scorched the Trojans to a score of 37-13 thanks to the passing of Nick Carl and running of Casey Shiposh. The other good and close contest was Muncy and Wyalusing- a crucial game in the Small School race. I took the Indians by 1, but it was Wyalusing coming away with the one point victory. Oh, those special teams!!

Week 4 Predictions.

Canton at Cowanesque Valley:

Canton is not bad and Cowanesque is not good. Canton 41 vs CV 8

Troy at Wyalusing Valley:

Wyalusing won by the skin of their teeth against Muncy this past weekend. I’m going to give Troy one more chance to make up for last weeks embarrassing loss.
Troy 27 vs Wyalusing 14

Wellsboro at Athens:

Athens goes back home after winning a very important NTL large School game vs Troy. Wellsboro will come into town after their first NTL Large School victory. Oh how things are different. Athens 38 vs Wellsboro 7

South Williamsport at Sayre:

2-1 Sayre takes on 1-2 South in their backyard this Friday. This is my Small School game of the week as it should be a dandy. South has looked well at times, just been daunted with a tough schedule. Sayre has to keep the ground game going vs the big South D-Line. I don’t think that will happen enough. SW 31 vs Sayre 20

Lewisburg at Muncy:

Ut oh. I don’t think Muncy can stop Merle. Lewisburg 49 vs Muncy 0

Towanda at North Penn:

This is my game of the week for a good reason. The 2-0 Black Knights travel to North Penn to take on the 3-0 Panthers. I know it’s a smidge early, but this will be for the NTL title. North Penn is bigger, but Towanda is faster. North Penn has the D, but Towanda has the O. Flip a coin? I’ll go with tradition.
Towanda 27 vs North Penn 14
