After forty-three years in the field of education, thirty-seven years as head football coach, Lower Moreland’s Mark Mayson has declared his intention to retire. Mr. Mayson started his coaching career after his playing days as a two-year starting offensive guard at West Chester University. He spent nine years at Cheltenham as an assistant, before becoming the Head Coach at Lower Moreland. He’s led the Lions to multiple league and district titles compiling 150 wins along the way. The first phase of recognizing his commitment to the community is honoring him by naming the Lower Moreland football stadium after him on June 2nd.

The new Head Coach has been announced to be Justin Beck. Mr. Beck has been an assistant under Coach Mayson since 2010. He’s an Lower Moreland grad (Class of ’00) and played for Mayson from ’95-’99. He now teaches at the Lower Moreland high school in the AP section of Economics & Political Science.
