Darrell Crawford attends a tough inner city school in Wilkes-Barre. Grand Army of the Republic High School, known as GAR has won two consecutive District 2 championships.

Darrell has lined up at quarterback, wide receiver, cornerback, kick returner and punt returner for the Grenadiers. The numbers speak for themselves, Crawford accounted for 39 touchdowns – 32 rushing, 3 on kick returns, 2 punt returns and 2 interception returns. Crawford threw for 12 scores and rushed for 1,834 yards.

He is a dazzling open field  runner and is like tackling smoke when he is out in space. Crawford excels in the classroom and is a National Honor Society member. The Edsel Award is about more than athleticism. Character and academics translate into leadership. These are the qualities that made Darrell The 12th Man Show Pennsylvania Player Of The Year.
