Key Games

District 3 Week 8

Harrisburg Cougars (D3 4A 4-3) @ Cumberland Valley Eagles (D3 4A 6-1)

Both Teams have given District 6 State College (7-0) a good game. As Mr. Frisco of the Harrisburg Patriot

News mentions in his most recent article there are several District 3 4A Play-Off Spots still open. See link

below :

Penn Manor Comets (D3 4A 7-0) @ Warwick Warriors (D3 4A 5-2)

The Comets are coming off a 1 – Point Victory over the Manheim Twp. Blue Streaks (4-3). Despite their

record, the Warriors have struggled the past two weeks with (0-7) McCaskey and (1-6) Reading.

Manheim Twp. Blue Streaks (D3 4A 4-3) @ Wilson W.L. Bulldogs (D3 4A 7-0)

The Blue Streaks are coming off a 1 – Point Lose to the Penn Manor Comets (7-0). Like the Warwick

Warriors above, Manheim Twp. Has struggled with the same McCaskey and Reading Teams. The Bulldogs

on the other hand have only had one game tighter than 21-Points and that was a 5-Point Victory over

(3A -5-2) Manheim Central.

Garden Spot Spartans (D3 3A 5-2) @ Cocalico Eagles (D3 3A 6-1)

The Spartans have dispatched every (3A) Team on their schedule with ease. Their 2 loses being to the

Hempfield Black Knights (4A 5-2) and the Elizabethtown Bears (4A 5-2). The Eagles defeated the same

(4A 5-2) Bears by 1-Point this past week.

Elizabethtown Bears (D3 4A 5-2) @ Manheim Central Barons (D3 3A 5-2)

The Bears are coming off a 1-Point lose at home to the Cocalico Eagles (3A 6-1). The Barons have caught

fire with 4 wins in a row after two earlier season setbacks : Week 2 (L 15-20) at (4A 7-0) Wilson West

Lawn and Week 3 (L 8-21) at home to (2A 6-1) Lancaster Catholic.

4orthern Polar Bears (D3 3A 5-2) @ Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils (D3 3A 7-0)

The Polar Bears are in the middle of a very good group of District 3 (3A) Teams. Their 2 loses :

Mechanicsburg (3A 7-0) by 2 points and at Hershey (3A 3-4) by 8 points. The Blue Devils silenced any

remaining detractors with a solid Week 7 Win over the Indians from Susquehanna Twp.

Kennard-Dale Rams (D3 3A 4-3) @ West York Bulldogs (D3 3A 6-1) 2A

The Ram’s Record is deceiving ; Week 1 lose to (4A) Spring Grove , 5-Point lose to the Solanco Muhls,

and a 7-Point lose at (4A 5-2) Dallastown. The Bulldogs have a couple notches in their collar : (28-3) Win

over (4A 6-1) Central York and (28-6) Win over (4A 4-3) Red Lion. West York lost by 1-Point Week 2 at

(4A 5-2) Dallastown.

Delone Catholic Squires (D3 2A 7-0) @ Bermudian Springs Eagles (D3 2A 5-2)

The Squires have 2 Big Wins so far : The Trinity Shamrocks (6-1) and the Littlestown Thunderbolts (5-2).

The Eagles have been on the losing end twice this year : Week 1 at (3A 5-2) Northern and this past week

against the Canners from Biglerville (2A 5-2).

Middletown Blue Raiders (D3 2A 5 -2) @ Camp Hill Lions (D3 1A 6-1)

The Blue Devils are riding a 2-Game Losing Streak against two very good Teams : The Rollers from

Steelton-Highspire (1A 7-0) and the Trinity Shamrocks (2A 6-1). Camp Hill’s only lose was to the same

Trinity Team above.

Wyomissing Spartans (D3 2A 6-1) @ Holy 4ame Blue Jays (D3 1A 6-1)

The Spartans have been flying under the radar up to this point. Likewise, the Blue Jays have not garnered a

lot of attention so far this season. Holy Name’s only lose was to the Scouts from Conrad Weiser (3A 5-2).

Steelton-Highspire Rollers (D3 1A 7-0) @ Trinity Shamrocks (D3 2A 6-1)

Another Rivalry Game for the Rollers after dispatching another main rival two weeks ago (2A 5-2)

Middletown. J. Young is coming off another Monster Game (328 Yards Rushing). The Shamrocks are

coming off a Victory over the same Middletown Team as above. Trinity’s only set-back this was to

(2A 7-0) Delone Catholic by 3 Points.
