District 1 Talk Week 2

North Penn

The Knights held Lansdale Catholic to 17 yards of total offense and no first downs through three quarters and went on to win the non-league game 28-7.

Lansdale Catholic ran only 15 plays to the Knights 54 plays going into the fourth quarter.

Todd Smolinsky threw for 88 yards and two touchdowns. He rushed for 65 yards on 12 carries.

Senior running back Craig Needhammer carried the ball 18 times for 156 yards and two touchdowns.

North Penn travels to take on St. Joseph’s Prep.

Pottsgrove

Senior quarterback Terrell Chestnut rushed for 132 yards and four touchdowns to lead his team to a 45-0 win over Wissahickon.

Pottsgrove scored on their first two drives of the game to take an early 13-0 lead.

Chestnut made it 19-0 when he scampered 50-yards for the score.

The Falcons move to 2-0 and play Boyertown at home next week.

Ridley

Junior running back Sam Dixon-Dugan rushed for 106 yards on 15 carries and scored two touchdowns. Ridley went on to shut out Lower Merion 39-0.

Colin Masterson threw two touchdowns.

Ridley hosts Haverford Township next week.
