Cocalico Dominates Governor Mifflin 42-14
DENVER – The week three matchup between Cocalico and Governor Mifflin was a very tightly fought contest. Cocalico came out on top due in large part to winning the turnover battle. Cocalico won the turnover battle again in the rematch Friday night. The Eagles converted the Mifflin miscues into points and came away with a 42-14 win Friday Night.
Eagles Quarterback Noah Palm had four touchdowns to lead the way. The Cocalico Defense played extremely well and held the Mifflin running game in check all night long.
“Our offensive and defensive lines played great” said Palm “ we all played well as a team.” Cocalico Head Coach Dave Gingrich was proud of his team’s effort. “When you want to win games in November you better be physical up front and take care of the ball. We did both tonight.” Coach Gingrich felt having the bye week played a big part in the win. “We had fresh legs out there tonight, we were ready to go.”
The Cocalico offense got things going on their opening possession of the game
The defenses ruled quarter one and we went to quarter two 6-0. Everything changed when the Cocalico D put points on the board
Mifflin fumbled away the ball again and Cocalico took advantage
It was Noah Palm again to stretch the lead as we went to halftime
The Cocalico line took charge again. . Noah Palm again finished the drive with a TD.
Nick Singleton got Mifflin on the board in quarter three.
Noah Palm answered to make the score 42-7 The final was 42-14. The Eagles host Warwick next week. Mifflin season ends at (8-4)
