How’s your offensive line?
“Here’s who we have coming back on the line. Ryan Anton is returning at offensive right guard. Shane Kraynik will be at right tackle. The tight end positions are both up in the air. Ian Mosser and Mike Tatarowicz should get playing time at the tight end spots.”
Who will be your quarterback this year?
“It will be Matt Pasquale. He played more on the defensive side last year. Matt has shown this summer he can run and throw well.”
How’s your running game look?
“In the backfield we have Mike Class coming back. He’s the only returning starter. I wish we had more coming back, every coach wishes that, but Mike Class is a pretty good player coming back. The other running back should be Imeir Simmons. He did see some time last year as a sophomore and I am pleased at what I have seen from him this summer. Austin Knepp will be our fullback. He’s coming off a real good 9th grade year. He is tough, a great blocker and has good speed at fullback.”
Note: In 13 games Class rushed for 2,417 yards on 293 carries and 32 touchdowns. He is the top running back returning in Eastern PA.
How do your wide receivers look?
“The only returning guy we have is Micah Stutzman.”
Who do you have on the defensive line?
“We have Shane Kraynik back on the line. The other d-line players have graduated.”
How’s your linebackers look?
“We have only Matt Pasquale returning at linebacker.”
What do you have coming back in the secondary?
“We have Micah Stutzman and Mike Class played some safety.
What are your keys to having a successful season this year?
“It starts with Mike Class. Everybody knows about Mike and he had a outstanding year last season. I think our strength is going to be running the ball. I do think Matt will be able to throw some. I hope that will give us a nice run/pass option.”
Is it important to get off to a good start?
“We need to get out of the gate well. This is a team that had a lot of success last year. The returning players will come in with a lot of confidence. We want to build on the confidence. Continuing the momentum from last season into this season is important.”
