Head Coach Steve Mitten Q&A

 

Q. What are the key things we should know about your offense?

A. We are a veer option team who will rely heavily on our offensive line led by Bryan White, Jimmy McDonald, and Jeff Hudson.

Matt Dinacci started last year at quarterback as a sophomore.

Trey Green, Noah Richard, Brian Armstrong have all seen significant time in the backfield.

 

Q. What are the key things we should know about your defense?

A. We are a base 4-3 defense led by Villanova commit Bryan White on the defensive line.

Sam Vogel started as a sophomore at middle linebacker.

Tre Green, Noah Richard, Nick Rizzo, and Brian Armstrong bring a great deal of experience to the defensive backfield.

Jack Dingfelter and Jason DePhillips both started last year as defensive end.

 

Q. What are the key things we should know about your special teams? Who are your kick and punt returners? Who are your kicker and punter?

A. There will be a lot of competition for the kicker spots this year. We have been fortunate to have experienced soccer players as kickers the last several years.

Steve Thompson was a valuable asset a year ago. He went on to be part of the winning relay team at the Penn Relays last spring.

2014 Outlook: We have a team with good size and a lot of experience and we intended to work very hard to be competitive in the always-tough Ches-Mont National Division with our cross-town rival West Chester Rustin.
