  1. Rollie Ciffo says:

Jim, it sure is pretty comical when you think about.

  2. Jim says:

Ha, funny stuff you two; the Rollie and Jive comedy hour.

Lists are just that, lists; this one I believe is one man’s opinion who hasn’t possibly seen every player in the eastern part of the state. Point is, names are always overlooked but I’ll share this, having your name on this list won’t even get you a coffee in Wawa!

I’m assuming Patrick Finn is getting lots of college money and that’s what really counts!

  3. Rollie Ciffo says:

I only listed the wrestler/football players I could remember off the top of my head. There has to be a hundred more. Know what? The Roman kid committed to Rutgers deserves to be listed as well. There’s no limit on the quantity of HM entries. So please spare us all your righteous indignation.

  4. JiveTurkey says:

Rollie, you’re giving me 7 people that span 4 decades. You consider that often? Let the kids football accomplishments get him on a list. If 7 out of a few thousand kids is what you base your wrestling comparison, then I really can’t debate the topic. That just makes absolutely zero sense to me. Where is this kid committed to for football? Roman has a kid who is 6’7″, 280, committed to Rutgers for football. Guess what? He’s not on the list. You know what that means? Nothing! Go back and read your premise and tell me where the silliness lies.

  5. Rollie Ciffo says:

He’s not my son, my neighbor, from my old school or even an acquaintance. So please stop with the childish silliness.

I based my assertion because he’s 6’4″ 257 and was 2nd team PFN All State and Philly Inquirer All Southeast PA 1st team as a Junior.

The wrestling comment is because accomplished wrestlers are often top FB players too. Have you not heard of the likes of Nate Eachus, Jim Nance, Carlton Haselrig, Todd Moules, Steve Sefter, the Atiyeh brothers, & Leo Wisniewski? Did you not know that?

  6. JiveTurkey says:

I love the where’s my son, where’s my neighbor, where’s the kid from my old school stuff. That comment from Rollie is a first though. Didn’t you know so and so is the 2nd best wrestler in his weight class? He’s also a really good swimmer, doesn’t that meet the requirement to get on the preseason football list? I have seen it all.

  7. Rollie Ciffo says:

You’re kidding right? Where’s Patrick Finn of Pottsgrove? He was 2nd team PFN all state last year and runner up in the AAA 285 wrestling class to Thomas Haines of Solanco (a 4 time champ). He may not be going to Penn State or Pitt but he should be here at least as honorable mention.
