Coaches Q&A with Mike Farr:

Q. What are his strengths at running back?

A. His ability to accelerate to the hole and then he’s able to make that one big cut. Now from the time he was a freshman and until now, he’s getting much bigger, stronger and faster.

He really has a good motor and get’s excited at running the football. I think this year he will be a lot more physical runner and has good hands.

Q. What are his strengths on defense?

A. His ability to recognize formations and get us in the correct defense. He’s our quarterback defensively and his ability to get to the hole quickly and be physical.

He’s a good tackler.

Q. Is he returning kicks this year?

A. We’re looking at him back there with Ryan this year. He has good hands and is a good north/south runner.

Q. What’s he doing in the offseason?

A. This year going into his senior year he’s in the best shape of his life and has transformed about 22-pounds that was fat into muscle. He’s shaved about three-tenths off his 40-time.

He’s working on making his feet faster. He has been working on his acceleration at a place called the jungle. He’s so fast the first 10-yards and that is important in our offense.
