Coaches Q&A with James Martinez:

Q. What kind of leader is he?

A. There isn’t a kid on our team that works harder. He doesn’t miss any workouts. He’s not a vocal guy and leads by example. He has a great work ethic.

Q. What are his strengths at running back?

A. He has great feet and good vision. He run’s hard and can run you over if he has the opportunity and can make moves too. He can catch the ball and make plays.

This year we’re looking at finding a way to get him the ball in different ways.

Q. How’s he on defense as a linebacker?

A. This year we’re moving him to middle linebacker. I think we limited him last year in what we did. This year he will be able to run sideline-to-sideline and make plays. He’s a very explosive player.
