This is a tough call. I would go with

    A. Not sure
    AA- West Catholic
AAA- Wood for sure. Best team I’ve seen in years
    AAAA – LaSalle

  2. Joe says:

It’s very hard to win consecutive state titles but I think 3 of the 4 are legitimate contenders to do so.
A – Clairton has been the beast of A football for a few years and they have plenty talent returning. They have a very good chance of repeating.

AA – West Catholic has been close for a few years but got it done last season. I think they have enough pieces in place to repeat. They got over the hump and I don’t see anyone in the East beating them.

AAA – Any other year Allentown Central Catholic would be a heavy favorite to repeat but this year AAA is very strong with about 5 legitimate contenders. I think that AAA may have 2 or 3 of the top teams in the state in ACC, Wood and McDevitt. I still think ACC is the favorite at this time.

AAAA – North allegheny was a senior dominated team and lost too much to repeat. Look for Pittsburgh Central Catholic, La Salle or one of the district one or eleven teams to be in Hershey.

  3. Buddy says:

    4A : Doubtful,too much competition at AAAA

    3A: Should, probably the favorite.

    2A: Better then 50/50 chance

1A: Don’t follow this level well enough

Here are my pick(s) to repeat: West Catholic in AA, saw them in person last year, great speed returning. Don’t see the other 3 repeating, ACC won’t get by Wood, and North Allegheny and Clairton lost key players
