District 4 Talk Week 4

Bloomsburg

Reserve running back Remington Weigle rushed for 186 yards and three touchdowns as Bloomsburg won over North Penn 31-7.

Bloomsburg’s running attack totaled 260 yards of rushing. Quarterback Bryan Rankin completed just five passes for 62 yards.

Bloomsburg averaged 5.6 yards per carry. Weigle scored on runs of 3,5, and 1 yard. Fullback Jack Breisch had a 2-yard score.

Bloomsburg (3-1) travels to Loyalsock Township (3-1) next week

Selinsgrove

Kyle Reinard returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for a score. Selinsgrove’s offense ripped off 35-point in the first half as the Seals rolled over Danville 62-6.

Reinard rushed for 96 yards and two scores and he had 139 yards in returns.

Selinsgrove (4-0) travels to Berwick Area next Friday night.

Loyalsock

Loyalsock spoiled Jim Roth’s bid for 300 wins. The Lancers defeated Southern Columbia 14-7.

The Lancers had only 176 yards of total offense. But it was their defense that led to the win with five interceptions and one of which was returned for a touchdown by Alec Eggerton.

Loyalsock Township (3-1) hosts Bloomsburg (3-1).

Towanda

With a packed house on homecoming night the Black Knights scored on their opening drive. After a 49-yard run by Travis Chesla, Dakota Roof hit Nate Bennett on a 38-yard score.

Towanda’s defense forced a three-and-out and scored another touchdown as Roof went in for the 1-yard run. Towanda led 14-0 and cruised to the 47-6 win.

Chesla had 98 yards rushing on nine carries and one catch for 64 yards. Roof was four of six passing for 146 yards and two touchdowns.

Towanda (4-0) plays home to Cowanesque Valley.
