District 2 Talk Week 6

Mid-Valley

After a wild third quarter that saw 38 points scored and the score tied at 22, Brett Howey recovered a fumble and returned it 27 yards for the score. Mid-Valley led 29-22 and went on to win 35-22 over Susquehanna Community.

Brandon Bradshaw rushed for 110 yards on 22 carries and two touchdowns.

Mid-Valley had 265 total yards on offense and on defense they held Susquehanna Community to 167 yards.

Mid-Valley (5-1) hosts Holy Cross.

North Pocono

Matt Smith rushed for two scores and threw another as North Pocono upended Abington Heights 29-21.

Smith scored on runs of two-yards and 26-yards and he passed for an 18-yard score to Nick Batzel.

North Pocono (5-1) travels to Scranton.

Old Forge

After a slow start in the first half Old Forge cruised to a 40-0 win over Holy Cross.

Quarterback Malkolm Blackshear rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns and he passed for 108 yards. Brian Morris rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns. He caught 2 passes for 16 yards.

Old Forge (6-0) hosts Carbondale Area.
