District 2 Talk Week 4

Old Forge

Malkolm Blackshear had 262 total yards and accounted for three touchdowns to lead the Blue Devils to a 34-6 win over Hanover Area.

Blackshear rushed for 100 yards and passed for 162 yards.

Brian Morris rushed for 80 yards on 17 carries and a score. Michael Tagliaferri had a 12-yard touchdown run. The Blue Devils finished with 412 total yards. On defense they held Hanover Area to 188 total yards.

Old Forge (4-0) plays at Nanticoke.

North Pocono

The Trojans were down 13-0 and came back to nip Wallenpaupack 14-13. With the win North Pocono moves to 4-0.

Senior quarterback Matt Smith rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown. Then he threw for 117 yards and a touchdown.

Smith’s touchdown run with 8:16 remaining tied the game up at 13. Kurt Knott’s extra point gave the Trojans a 14-13 lead.

North Pocono (4-0) hosts Delaware Valley.

Dunmore

Senior running back Michael Perry rushed for 120 yards and a score to lead Dunmore over Lakeland 35-8.

Quarterback Dave Olivetti threw for a pair of touchdowns, fullback Frank Santarsiero scored twice and the defense stopped Lakeland twice inside the 20.

Tim Brier had 3 ½ sacks.

Dunmore had 357 total yards of offense, including 305 yards of rushing. On defense they held Lakeland to 189 total yards.

Dunmore (4-0) hosts Western Wayne next week.

Dallas

Quarterback Adam Goeringer threw for 102 yards and three touchdowns to lead Dallas over Pittston Area 36-6.

Dallas had 307 total yards of offense and on defense they held Pittston Area to 181 yards.

Jake Simon rushed for 81 yards on 10 carries. Running back Paul Brace recovered his own fumble, looked down field and hit Joe Murray for a 45-yard touchdown pass.

Dallas (4-0) plays Wyoming Area next Saturday.
