But when the third quarter started, the Mounties got a pep in their step. Sherwin Stewart (QB #3) threw a dime to Trevor Hines( CB/SB # 25) to the one yard line that would then become a Mounties touchdown.

With this the Mounties scored two other times with an ACC field goal in between coming back with a score of 28-24 Stroudsburg into the fourth.

The fourth quarter was a complete dog fight between the two teams. ACC tried to score and the Mounties tried to hold them.

With a strong Stroudsburg D-line that consists of some wonderful individuals like Warren Watson (DT #59) ,Nick Whitewood (DT #68) ,Nahzir Lango ( CB #1) , and Sami Khamis Jr. ( DT # 63) etc….

The Mounties were able to hold ACC through 4th & goal at the end of the 4th quarter. The game ended with a score of 28-24 Stroudsburg

Stroudsburg had an smoking blow out win against the East Stroudsburg North Timberwolves.
With an astonishing 54-7 win, the Mounties just would not stop.

Starting with back to back scores in the first quarter, the first one being an offensive touchdown
and the second with an interception by the defense, the Mounties just kept on rolling.

The Timberwolves kept the game Interesting at the start with an interception in the first quarter
at 6:16. But that didn’t stop the Mounties because soon after the Mounties had back to back
offensive scores AGAIN!

Finally scoring right before halftime the Timberwolves got on board with an score of Stroudsburg 35 and North 7. Then not getting off their high horse, Stroudsburg scored multiple times ending the game with a 54-7 win.

The Stroudsburg Mounties had an amazing win on September 8th against their hometown rivals just across the bridge, the East Stroudsburg South Cavaliers. Every year the two teams go head to head for the Little Brown Jug that Stroudsburg has won for now the 8th consecutive year.

With a tough start at first the Mounties managed to come up with just two touchdowns and a fumble recovery late in the first quarter.

After this slow start, the Mounties continued to go up hill with another two touchdowns in the second quarter. By the half, they led 27-0 score in favor of the Mounties.

After halftime, the Cavaliers came back better and stronger with the first major event of the half, an interception.

This soon turned into a touchdown at a time of 7:18 and a successful field goal in the third quarter. At this point, the Cavaliers were on the board 27-7 going into the fourth.

To end this battle, the Mounties scored once more at a time of 7:36 in the fourth. Then held the Cavaliers to no points until the very end at a time of 1:58 they score another touchdown. Soon after the buzzer went off for the end of the game with a Mounties’ win 34-13 and have claimed the Little Brown Jug once more.
