Please post a small recap of last season with something like a big game you had, something about a certain game, something from a bus ride to or from the game, or something that sticks out from a practice.

The proudest moment of this season is seeing how the positivity in the team this season has really grown onto everybody, as it keeps us excelling and executing on offense and defense the way we need to.

What are you going to miss the most from the 2025 class?

What I will miss most from the class of 2025 will be the chemistry and the knowledge they had, which hugely helped plays get executed to our advantage.

What are your goals for the season?

My goal for this season is to make all league at any position I am playing as an ATH.

Which goals are you setting for your team?

My team goals are to make the District Playoffs and hopefully win or compete for the league title.

What is the toughest part of being a quarterback?

The toughest part of being a quarterback has got to be making the reeds before the play and mentally being able to take the blame when things go wrong, while also fixing mistakes in an instant.

What is the best part of being a linebacker?

The toughest part of playing linebacker has been reading the split-second plays and getting into my pass drops.

Where should the state finals be?

The state finals should be in a more local stadium to me so I could possibly go to see it or hopefully be good enough this year to compete in it.

What type of defense as a quarterback do you like facing the most?

As a quarterback, I love facing defenses that have a 4-3 or 4-4 look, having fewer guys for pass coverage and making it easier to get the ball out into flats.

What has been your biggest moment on the football field?

The biggest moment on the football field was during my homecoming game, where I balled out and had two touchdowns while having multiple tackles on defense.

Can you list the three biggest things that make you a good teammate?

Three biggest things that make me a good teammate are leadership second to none, mentality, and my knowledge, which helps everyone around me.

Would you rather kick the season off with your rival, or end the regular season with them?

I would rather kick the season off with them starting the season on a hot note; destroying a rival would be amazing.

With college coaches using Hudl and X as a means to keep up with players, how often do you update your pages?

I try to update my X page as often as I can because that’s where I tend to reach out to coaches, trying to almost get it done daily if not at least twice a week.

What is your favorite type of play to run?

My favorite type of play to run has got to be a slant flat concept or a smash concept.

Who is your favorite NFL team?

The Philadelphia Eagles are my favorite team because I have lived in that area all my life.

Have you been to any NFL games?

Unfortunately, I have not been to any NFL games.

What is your favorite drink?

My favorite drink is the BodyArmor IV drinks or the Electrolit drinks, helping me recover from practices and games instantly.

Please post a small recap of last season with something like a big game you had, something about a certain game, something from a bus ride to or from the game, or something that sticks out from a practice.

Last year’s season was special; we opened strong, beating some tough teams, and had a solid record. Winning the district championship was definitely a highlight in my career, and something I always think back to is winning our rivalry game and when our student section rushed the field.

What is the best part of being a member of the East Stroudsburg South football family?

The best part of being a member of this team is the community and the support we get. We really play as a family, and every time I step on the field, I know I’m playing for something bigger than myself.

What is the toughest aspect of being a student-athlete?

The toughest aspect of being a student-athlete is balancing time between school and sports. Performing at a high level on the field and in the classroom can be challenging, and sometimes you have to choose to miss out on some things.

What are your goals for the season?

My goals are to help my team win another district championship and to also lead the league in sacks.

What goals are you setting for your team?

I’m pushing the lineman on my team to be aggressive and to play physically. We have a lot of young guys on the team this year, and I have to not only push them, but also push myself to set a standard for them to follow.

What is the toughest type of offensive lineman to face?

The toughest type of offensive lineman to face is a tall, quick tackle. Their length can make them challenging to get around sometimes.

Who is the toughest teammate to square up against during practice?

The toughest teammate to square up against is a teammate that won’t be your friend and won’t let up on you even if you’re tired; in my opinion, this is the best type of teammate.

What makes you a good teammate?

I believe I’m a good teammate because I hold myself and my teammates to a very high standard; sometimes I might get on them when I feel like they’re not pushing themselves to their full capabilities.

Where should the state finals be held?

It would be nice for the finals to be held in Hershey again like they used to, or even at a bigger college stadium.

What was the high point of the 2024 season?

The high point of the 2024 season was winning a district championship. It felt like all the work we had put in for the last 2 years had paid off.

What was the toughest part of the 2024 season?

The toughest part of the 2024 season was going against Roman Catholic in the first round of state playoffs; we were the underdogs and had just lost one of our key players to an injury, so stepping up to play them was a challenge.

Why should a college coach recruit you?

A college coach should recruit me because I have passion for the game, I’m very tenacious and aggressive, and I think that it shows in the way I play.

Grass or turf?

Turf all the way

Who are your favorite and least favorite NFL teams?

My favorite team is the Eagles, and my least favorite team is the Giants.

What is your go-to snack?

PB&J sandwiches

Who are your role models?

My role models are my dad and my cousin. My older teammates also helped me a lot when it came to football.

Big Moment/Memory from last season: In my first varsity start on defense against Shaler, I had an interception and stuffed them at the goal line.

The best part of being a student athlete at Butler

I love the amount of opportunities there are; whether it be coaches or teachers, everyone there is trying to help you and make you a better person.

Quarterback or middle linebacker, which one do you feel better at?

I feel more confident and comfortable at quarterback; it is a position I have played for many years. Although I would say I’m better on defense because I’m good at flipping the switch and going after it every play.

What is the best part of playing quarterback?

I love being a leader on the field, and quarterback is the perfect position for that; plus, you have influence on every play because you always handle the ball.

What is the toughest part of playing middle linebacker?

Being able to keep my emotions under control and getting up after every play, whether it was good or bad.

What are your goals for this season?

My goals are to throw and run at least 20 touchdowns, pass for 1500 yards, rush for 1000 yards, lead the team in tackles and forced fumbles, establish our offense as a passing threat, and have a strong defense.

What goals are you setting for your team?

Our team wanted to get strong in the offseason, which we did well at. We also want to score on at least half of the drives we have the ball, along with creating more turnovers on defense.

What is the strongest part of your game playing both quarterback and middle linebacker?

I would say I’m a very tough and physical player no matter what side of the ball I’m on. I never take plays off, and I have a relentless mindset.

What makes you a good teammate?

I love coaching up and leading my teammates to get better and win. I push my teammates to their limits, and I always ask for their best effort when we’re at practice.

What has been your biggest moment as a football player?

My biggest moment was playing the best game of my career at our homecoming game, then going to the dance and everyone kept congratulating me on the win and how I played.

As an athlete, what has been your most embarrassing moment?

I always found it embarrassing how much I struck out in baseball when I was younger; I would always strike out and get extremely frustrated with myself.

How are you getting over a bad game? –

I normally won’t; it sticks with me the whole season and gives me a reason to push harder and be a better player.

Who is the best player you have faced in a game, along with what team he was on?

Our last game of the season last year, we faced Clarion, and they had a huge quarterback who was fun to tackle. I also was put in at running back to block him all game at safety.

What is your favorite type of music?

80s Rock

What state would you like to visit for the first time?

I would like to visit Texas because of the weather and the amazing football.

What is your go-to snack?

Go-Go Squeeze, by far, tastes amazing and is full of energy.

HUDL LINK:

Post a small recap of last season with personal highlights and any other big moments you have and memories you have from last season, whether it be a game, the bus ride to or from the game, or any other thing that sticks out.

Last season was a big turning point for me. I started the year behind two talented running backs on the depth chart, but when both went down with injuries, I stepped into the starting role for 3 games and made the most of the opportunity. The moment that really sticks with me was the game against Carlisle. I came out strong and rushed for over 100 yards in just the first half. That game gave me confidence and proved to myself and my team that I could step up when it mattered. I’m proud of how I responded when my number was called, and I’m using that momentum heading into this season as I’m competing for the starting spot and currently splitting carries evenly.

What is the best part of being a student-athlete at Cedar Cliff High School?

The community and the students, the way they show out for the games, and the environment they create on game day are enough to make you want to perform.

What is the toughest aspect of being a student-athlete?

Balancing schoolwork with practice and games. It’s a full-time commitment on both ends, and managing time effectively is definitely the hardest part.

What are your goals for the season?

To be consistent and take advantage of every opportunity every game, I’m looking to get at least 100 yards per game regardless of the amount of carries I get. And to continue to improve my skills and contribute on both sides of the ball.

What goals are you setting for your team?

To stay united and mentally tough no matter the outcome or score of games, to push each other to our highest potential, and to keep competing until the last whistle.

Who is the best player that you have faced in a game, along with the team he was on?

Probably Messiah Mickens, an RB/DE from Harrisburg High School. He was a statement player on both sides of the ball and made you pay for any mistake you made.

Where should the state finals be held?

At Penn State’s stadium with a big atmosphere, so it feels like a true championship experience.

What motivates you to play the game of football?

The love and passion of the game. I love everything about football and spend a lot of time being a student of it and learning how to get better. Also the brotherhood between teammates. I’ve been playing football since I was 5 and still know players from that first team and have supported them, played against them, and seen how successful they are.

What has been your biggest moment as an athlete?

Freshman year, scoring 4 times in one game, it was the best game I’ve had so far.

What’s been your most embarrassing moment as an athlete?

Catching the ball out of the backfield and instantly getting hit when I turned upfield.

Is there a college or pro player that you pattern your game after?

As a running back, I try to model myself after many players for their individual playing styles. NFL players I look up to are Saquon Barkley, Alvin Kamara, and Le’Veon Bell. College players I look up to are Ashton Jeanty, Omarion Hampton, and Jaydon Blue.

If you are invited to play in any of the all-star games following the season, will you?

Absolutely. It would be an honor to showcase my skills and compete with the best.

What is your game day routine?

I like to wake up early and eat a good breakfast while visualizing plays or situations that could happen in the game. I listen to music throughout the day, stretch, and watch film to get focused. And I spend a few moments just calming my mind and listening to music before warmups.

What is your favorite subject or class?

It would be criminology. It was very interesting, and I learned a lot.

What is your go-to snack?

Cheez-Its and Animal Crackers.

Who are your favorite and least favorite NFL teams?

My favorite NFL team is the Dallas Cowboys; that was my childhood team. Also, I like the Lions because of the way they turned their program around, and every game is high-scoring. My least favorite team is the Kansas City Chiefs.

HUDL LINK:

Post a small recap of last season with personal highlights and any other big moments you have and memories you have from last season, whether it be a game, the bus ride to or from the game, or any other thing that sticks out.

Last season I had my first touch on kickoff return as I lined up and waited for the kick, and they kicked it to me, and I brought it all the way to the 50. I didn’t have big highlights, but I did have some good ones where I had a touchdown in our scrimmage vs. Fleetwood in a deep 50/50 ball in the end zone. I had a few key pieces where I caught the ball for some yards or some good blocks and pancakes around and saw progress in myself and plan on seeing the field a lot more senior year and having more highlights and things to talk about!

With this being your final high school football season, have you prepared any differently during the off-season?

I have taken in the thought of being a starter and what it takes to be an upcoming top player on the team, and I think holding myself accountable to being an athlete during the offseason by hitting the field and working on becoming better and getting some teammates to come out and get some work in as well is a way to build relationships and build a stronger brotherhoodand chemistry, so I have been out getting work in and helping younger kids out to become better and to better myself as well on and off the field.

What will you miss the most from the 2025 class?

Something I will miss about the 2025 class is the hype and moments they would bring to games. They would be fired up no matter our record. We would always try to keep our heads up no matter the score and push harder the next game, and they would bring the hype in the locker room and have a great pregame hype speech.

What was the highlight of the 2024 season?

I think the highlight of the season is when we played J.P. McCaskey. The first play of the game, we returned the ball, and the returner had the ball and ran all the way. As he was running the ball, I had a block for him, and he ran around me, and it was the last man to beat, and he took it all the way to the crib and scored. As it did get called back, we still scored on the game-opening drive, and it was still a moment we all were hyped for and came into the game with that hype, which gave us the hype to come out with the win 38-14.

What was the toughest part of the 2024 season?

The toughest part of the season is coming off a 2-8 record. There were so many games we came close to winning and could’ve ended with a better record, but we beat ourselves, and I think we let the seniors down for that. Although that’s the past, CO’ 26 plans on having a better season as we have a chip on our shoulder looking to come out with some more W’s and a better record, possibly making the EFC or making the playoffs after many years and showing the city we are the team we used to be—we just never had that chance!

What is the worst part of the first day of practice?

The worst part of our first practice is we don’t know what to expect, and a lot of people are unconditioned and need to work on conditioning more to be ready for in-game if we play both ways or they need us here and there, but also just to expect the unexpected all in all.

What is the best part of the first day of practice?

The best part of the first practice is that although we don’t know what to expect, you could find out there are new coaches or new plays or whatnot, but it’s also the fun of getting to learn new things with new players and upcoming athletes that you may or may not have played with before, and that’s the fun of being able to experience it and build a brotherhood all together and working hard day in and day out.

Who is the first teammate who will get vocal if practice is not going well?

The first person or people to get vocal will be QBs or seniors because those are the kids who have been here long enough to know what to do and what not to do, and if we are talking or not doing what we are supposed to, a QB, who is a leader, or a senior usually always calls the team out to be better or do things better.

Who is the best player that you have faced in a game, along with the team he was on?

Personally, I haven’t had enough time to talk about this or have a say in this, but we have had some good competition, like Deandre Jones (McCaskey WR) or someone like Michael Glover (Wilson TE).

What are your thoughts on girls playing football?

I never had a problem with girls playing football. I think it’s great. If they want to play it, let them. They could have dreams like us, and not all girls get these opportunities, which is why I think if a girl wants to play, she should be able to no matter if she is good or not. Everyone should get treated the same way with love and respect in all phases of this sport, no matter the gender!

Where should the state finals be held?

I think the state finals should be held in a big place where people would love to go. It’s a great thing to go to; it’s like a Super Bowl. A lot of people compete for these things and work for these things. I think it should be held in a popular place like Lincoln Financial Field or Hershey Stadium. Places like these are big enough for many fans and families to come watch their players play and ball out on the final stage.

After the season is over, if you earn an invite to any of the all-star games, will you play?

I would love to play in an All-Star game. I would love to go out there 1 more time and give it my all before I go off to college, or even if it’s my last ever football game, to leave it all on the field and give it my all! It would be a great, lovely opportunity, and I would take the opportunity to do it!

What is the strongest part of your game?

I think the strongest part of my game is my mentality; whether we are winning games or losing games, I stay humble. I know what it feels like to lose and win, so I know how it feels to be the opposing team and how they could be feeling. I would also say my QB is a strong part of my game. We have been together for 12 years now since youth and have developed the best chemistry in years, and I think if we work hard enough together, we could go out and get some wins this year, not just us two but as a team and a brotherhood.

Who is your favorite athlete?

I have 2-3 favorite athletes currently: Bryce Young, Jaycee Horn, and Adam Thielen. As a Panthers fan, we aren’t that good, but these 3 show great leadership and what it’s like to be humbled and come off bad games and injuries and play better. They all have had great opportunities and took them and now are very possibly 3 great players I think anyone would love to be around!

What is your favorite sports movie or show?

My favorite sports movie as a kid was always Game Time. I used to always watch it with The Rock and his daughter and the bond they created after a while, and she was there for him, as was he. As I grew up, it definitely became The Waterboy. Adam Sandler shows in the movie how you can expect the unexpected and not know it at all.

Post a small recap of last season with personal highlights and any other big moments you have and memories you have from last season, whether it be a game, the bus ride to or from the game, or any other thing that sticks out.

Last year was a struggle for us. We couldn’t finish games or make plays when we needed to. A personal highlight is that I broke the single-season passing record. Last year was probably the most fun year that I have ever had, because all of my friends who I’ve been playing with since flag football. We have a ton of chemistry.

What are your personal goals for the season?

For me personally, I am pretty close to breaking our high school’s all-time passing record, and that would be awesome to do. Most importantly, I want to just have fun and win games with my teammates for the last year I will play in high school.

What goals are you setting for your team?

We just need to get stuff done and finish games. Last year we were really close to winning a bunch of big games, and we didn’t make it happen. We have the ability this year to get things done.

What is the best part of being the quarterback?

The best part about being a quarterback is that I get to be in control of the ball every single snap. I love having the pressure on my shoulders and the trust of my teammates.

What is the toughest part of being a quarterback?

The toughest part about being the quarterback is that I get criticized a lot, and that isn’t fun.

What makes you a good teammate?

I love talking to everyone, not just my friends, but everyone. I also push my teammates to be the best version of themselves.

Why should a college coach recruit you?

I am very coachable, and I love to compete. I may not be the fastest QB, but I will run through someone to get the job finished.

What is the strongest part of your game?

The strongest part of my game is my ability to extend plays. Last year I didn’t have that much time to get the ball out and had to scramble a lot.

Linebacker or quarterback, which one do you feel you are better at?

I feel like I am better at quarterback because I have the ability to read defenses well.

What is the best part of being a student-athlete at Mifflinburg High School?

Student athletes are very appreciated at Mifflinburg, and teachers love to talk about sports with us.

What will the 2025 squad have to do to improve on the 4-7 record from a year ago?

We are just going to have to finish games. If we keep our foot on the gas, teams won’t be able to stop us.

How would you describe your style of play as a quarterback?

I would say I am an athletic pocket passer who has the ability to run and extend plays.

Which game are you looking forward to the most this season? Explain.

I am really excited to play our rival Lewisburg because they beat up on us last year. We bring back a lot of starters, and that will be a huge game for us.

Who is your favorite athlete?

Jalen Hurts

What is your favorite style of music?

Country

Who are your role models?

My mom and dad
