2017 Outlook:

Offense: As usual I expect our strength to be our running game. Our players have worked hard throughout the off season to develop the physical and mental attitudes that are needed to establish the run game. I think we will have the ability to break big plays, but to be successful we will need to develop the ability to control the ball and move the chains.

Defense: I think we have a group of kids on defense that will make up for their inexperience by being athletic and finding the football. They have been disciplined in their assignments and communicate well. The biggest adjustment for this group will be getting acclimated to game speed situations.

Special Teams: We return quality players in our punter, kicker, and snapper. We will be relying on some younger players to help us create depth in fielding our special teams. This area needs to be a strength for us throughout the season.

Overall: We are expecting 60 players in grades 9-12 to start camp( 39 of those kids are in 9th and 10th grade). This group has had a great off season and we have seen them grow both physically and as a team. We are going to be relying on some young and inexperienced players to start the season. These kids have shown that they are coachable and committed. I think our upperclassmen, who had the experience of playing in a District 11 Final last season, will provide the leadership we need to help those players develop.
