What was your greatest year for football?

Today is Super Bowl Sunday and I was thinking. What was the greatest year for me as a football fan?
It was 1983.
That year my High School, Somerville, won the Central Jersey Group II State Sectional Championship.
USA Today named my hometown Berwick Dawgs mythical National Champions in 1983.
On January 1st, 1983: Penn State defeats top-ranked Georgia, 27-23, in the Sugar Bowl to claim its first national championship.
On January 30th, 1983: the Washington Redskins defeated the Miami Dolphins by the score of 27-17 to win their first Super Bowl.
Not a bad year.

With many years to choose from I will list all of them
(1972) Lakeland won its first Eastern class B Title
(1976) Lakeland was voted the #1 small school
in the state by AP at the end of the season
(1980) Lakeland entered the mighty BIG 11
in a convincing manner beating POWERHOUSE
VALLEY VIEW 43-8 for the Big 11 Championship
(2001) Lakeland QB Even Kraky ranked #1 in the state with most yardage by a QB surpassing
former BERWICK BULLDAWG Ron Pawlus
(2004) reached the AA eastern final
losing a close game with Northern Lehigh
10-7 the bulldogs went on the state championship and lost a close one to Aliquippa
(2010) Lakeland went to Taylor Pa in week 9
to face the mighty RIVERSIDE VIKINGS who were destroying every team they played
the VIKINGS were full strength and were beating us 20-0 then the Chiefs dug deep and won 21-20
to claim the division title
the Vikings went to the State Title game and lost a close one to the Clairton Bears 36-30
much respect for the VIKINGS great run !

1994…. February, My Cowboys won the Super Bowl (1993 season), Penn State went undefeated (to no avail) and My Alma Mater (Mt. Carmel) won their first State Title in football. Great year to be a fan!

My best football year, had to be 2013. My team the sacred heart pioneers went from worst to first in our conference. We won the conference championship and went to play in the fcs playoffs. My Philadelphia eagles won a great game against the cowboys, NFC east champs. My little brother is on the freshman team at Wyoming area, my alma mater and they won there conference as well. 2013 was my best football year.
