Week 8 Top Offensive Performers of the Week:

Let’s start with our Player of the Week, Northern Lebanon’s quarterback Isaac Wengert. Against Annville-Cleona he threw four touchdowns in the first half and rushed for three in the second half.

YES…I can even do that math….seven total touchdowns in a 58-36 win (Tops for TD’s this week). That’s why we are naming Isaac our Week 8 Offensive Player of the Week.

Wengert was tops for all-purpose yards this week. He had 448 yards (222 rushing, 226 passing) total yards. He ran for one two-point conversion and threw for two more. He had 48 points.

What stood out the most from Isaac?

“His leadership and poise,” said Head Coach Roy Wall. This is his first year as the starting quarterback and he has improved each week. He plays the position with confidence and he has a gunslinger’s mentality.”

 

Our top rusher of the week is Plymouth-Whitemarsh’s Nafeese Nasir, a 349 yard performer last weekend against Hatboro-Horsham.

Susquehanna Township’s Christian Ciotti is our top receiver. He caught six passes for 202 yards (33.7 yards per catch) and four touchdowns in a 49-34 win over Cedar Cliff.
